My parents are perfectly fine with it. It's just funny because all of the characters I have crossplayed in the past have been young boys.
Also, just a couple of days ago after I came back from shopping with my mom for things I needed for my Ciel cosplay my dad looked at my mom and asked "Is it another boy?" my mom only nodded and I laughed.
my parents are "okay" with it but my mom dosent like it when i bind.I mean the only guy ive cosplayed up to date is Grell, and hes flambouyantly gay.so whenever i bind i try not to talk about it and let it slip..
Oh hey, I can totally relate to that. I do the same, just... try not to talk about it and all. Whenever my mother asks where my chest went I just kind of laugh it off awkwardly. I also very much avoid her while in cosplay in general as best I can.
Well this year was the first year I cossplayed-
My mother(I think) doesn't really like that i cosplayed as a guy but then doesn't mind it(that much).
My Father said I look like a "Feminine fagging Japanese boy".
My mom thinks it's adorable tbh. I usually dress in very girly clothing to school and my mom is worried that I might become super girly and obsessed with trying to look "cute". I'm the type of girl who loves dresses and makeup, despite all this, I love crossplaying and I plan to crossplay a lot more in the future.
My parents are all right with it since I act like a boy a lot. Some of my friends find it weird that someone like me who has boobs cosplays as a guy character. Obviously, they have never heard of binding... Sometimes, it can get nasty with them...
I haven't told my dad yet but he is really open minded with it... I guess. He thinks I am lesbian anyway because I dated a girl once ^^;; My cosplay friends are ok with it since most of them crossplays too. I wasn't suppose to start crossplaying but some reason all the characters I like are male and some reason they are easier to "act-alike" or something like that. ^^;; I still got lot to learn about crossplaying (like how to do better make-up (points at the user pic >.<;;.
My parents don't really mind (heck, I don't even think my dad knows) but when I had to get some sports bras for binding my mum was like "you don't need them! They're unnecessary!" even after I told her that I have to go flat because, well, guys don't have boobs >_>
My mums just like ohdont you want something cuter or
Most of the time I go as guys who look girly
So my mum looks at it and is like that's pretty
Then I tell her I'm ment to be a guy and she's like -.- still nice
Btw I'm a girl
