Talking Soul Eater- Death the Kid rings

Alright so I have to help a friend make the rings that Death the Kidd has from Soul Eater and I've never had to make this type of jewelry before so I could use a little help. I also have to make the broach that Kidd has as well.
I have found some for sell here:
http://www.ffmerchandise.com/soul_eater_ring.htm
and while it's absolutely perfect, he needs two of them and it's just a little out of our price range.
I've looked into trying to make it all kinds of different ways but it's a little more difficult because of the three bands it has.
If anyone has any suggestions that'd be great. I have over a year to make this so I'm not in any hurry. I am just looking for a much cheaper method of making it. I even considered having it commissioned, but I'm not sure exactly how much that would cost.
Thanks for any help.

here are some reference pictures:

I actually found a rather simple and very cheap way to make them! All you need is medium weight flexable wire (I'm not sure what type of metal mine was, but I'm sure you could find something that would work in any hardware store), air dry clay (I used Crayola air dry, not Model Magic), and metalic acrylic paint. You have to find something roughly the size of your finger or your friends finger, in this case. I used one of those round craft clothespins. Wrap the wire around three times to make an evenly spaced coil. Make the skulls out of the clay and, before they dry, mold them directly into the wire coils. After the clay drys you can carve and sand it to make it more smooth and exact. Then paint the clay in a shade to match the wire. It actually does look like metal if you use the right paint!

Okay, this is probably REALLY out of date, so you probably already finished the rings... but here

Pass it on! salesmanb2b would be great for a lot of cosplayers, it's rather cheap!
