I actually found a rather simple and very cheap way to make them! All you need is medium weight flexable wire (I'm not sure what type of metal mine was, but I'm sure you could find something that would work in any hardware store), air dry clay (I used Crayola air dry, not Model Magic), and metalic acrylic paint. You have to find something roughly the size of your finger or your friends finger, in this case. I used one of those round craft clothespins. Wrap the wire around three times to make an evenly spaced coil. Make the skulls out of the clay and, before they dry, mold them directly into the wire coils. After the clay drys you can carve and sand it to make it more smooth and exact. Then paint the clay in a shade to match the wire. It actually does look like metal if you use the right paint!
