Lolita skirt critique
Okay, I finished putting together a skirt a little while ago and finally took some pictures for critiquing purposes. Where can this skirt be improved? What mistakes might it have? Is it a good example of Sweet Lolita?
Please note that in the picture, it's not quite at waist level because I haven't put in the button closure yet. Also, I apologize if you needed a full shot to level out the proportions (ie. is the skirt kneelength? etc.) because I looked really tired and crappy in the photo, so I cropped myself out. :P And last note, it actually does have a petticoat underneth, so let me know if I achieved the right puffy look or if I should find myself a new petticoat. Thanks ladies!

The length and colour look perfect. ^__^ I'd redirect some of the poof towards the hem of the skirt. The shape around the hips seems kinda awkward to me.

yeah, i agree, needs a bit more poof down towards the bottom. also. I think it needs a bit more detail. I'm not a huge fan of that horizontal lace, or the shiny ruffle around the bottom. i think a solid pink ruffle and white lace would make it more interesting to look at. here are some skirts Ive pulled up for you as inspiration:

I agree that the poofiness could be larger at the hem of the skirt. The potential is there, it's just the petticoat needs to be fuller.
As for the frilly hem, it's actually not that shiney, it's the flash of my camera. But I agree that I could use a nicer lace instead. My resources are a little limited, but first chance I get, I'll get some nice stuff. Thanks for the critique so far! Any further suggestions are welcome!
