Making process:

After the preparation, we move on to make the prop. First we cut boards and PVC pipe to shape the side face and the handle. (Slice one bottom of the PVC pipe with saw blade, so itís easy to insert the handle) then, adhere these parts with gule, after all, they are not the main force point and the join-up attached with glue is easy to deal. Even if these point suffer from main force, it can be covered by the rest parts. Choose different boards according to different parts at different places, only remember to consider the character of boards and equipments. Then, build up the solid surface of the handle with putty, and smooth the seams and flaws with it. Remember this process, if you attach the embossment before you fix these problem, you canít polish it with ease.

Then we continue the modeling work. As showed in the picture, stick several boards with glue. After you finish the attachment work, youíll find the join-ups to be coarse and with seams, so itís time to apply glue on the surface and sand it. (Otaku who like to build up models must be familiar with this procedure)

Now we have a look at what weíve done, and fix up them. Find a metal pipe, attached it on the finished parts. (Use AB glue, for metal pipe is heavy and will easily fall off the props) Check the general proportion, and go on after youíre sure itís ok. Cut these trivial parts according to the following pictures. There are so many different and bizarre components, if you donít pay attention itíll easily lead you astray.

More, er, letís start to make these ornaments. As showed in the pictures, there are so many parts shaped in circle or circle in circle. Prepare several different sized round buttons, and cut them off, remove the middle bar, smooth them and paint glittering silver.

Assemble all the parts with gule. If you worry about the hardness of the attachment, you can also use AB glue. There are 4 black lines. Cut 4 curved strips, black and attach them on the prop. The final process is to cut two long strips with organic boards, and stick them with the circles on the metal pipes.

Finally, you have finished the blunderbuss. It must be a hard work. During making this gun, youíll find some more materials, or some skills. Most of the time, itís not exactly what you read from the books or pictures that can be use to make gun. You can discover other things to make good costumes. Do more and bravo.

PS. If you donít crash or strike with it, itíll be safe, for itís mainly made of putty and metal, but the metal pipe and handle could kill someone. Itís tough except for some area where there are lots of small parts. For everyday care, swap the dust will be ok.
