If it helps, I wear a binding bra already for medical reasons, so I appear to be a C-Cup at the moment.
Not sure if that does anything for anyone, but for those with smaller assets, I do suggest the binding bra-it's really very comfortable, and isn't any more expensive then 20-25 dollars.

For the past year, I've done a normal bra, a strong sports bra, ace bandages and then medical tape. I can get my DD monsters down to flat. ^_^;;

It's worked for me the past year, but it gets hard to breathe after 12+ hours in the bindings. I'm looking into a high quality compression shirt now.

Wouldn't so many layers make you look heavy though?
That's the only thing I'm worried about-looking heavy dur to what I've used to try and flatten myself.
It's a little ironic, but it makes sense?

I believe you should make a tutorial; I know it would help me out a lot as well as a lot of others too.
This will be my first time crossplaying, and I would very much like to do it right.

A tutorial? Hmm... Never even thought about it.

I've never had the problem of the layers making me look heavy. I'm 6'0", so it's hard pressed to make me look heavy when I wear layers like that. I also try and keep them as even as possible.

o__o.

Did anyone answer this question from this thread? "Also, do you pull your breasts downward to flatten, or do you press them inward into your chest?"

It depends on the girl.

I press downward to get my breasts flat, it works for me. But, they do tend to travel upwards throughout the time I'm bound. That's no fun.

I can't push my breasts inward. I'm too big. ^_^;;

O':
You're very tall indeed; I am only a humble 5'4".

Yes!
A tutorial would be bloody amazing!
Also, where would one such as myself locate all of these items?
My local Super Walmart-Local sports store?

I got my sports bra at a local sporting good store for my fencing. You can get ace bandages and medical tape at Target or Wal-Mart.

Awesome!
I'll be sure to look into these things.
Seems a lot more practical then wrapping myself in Plastic Wrap.
-Laughs-
I really appreciate the help.

Plastic wrap? O_o

That's a new one.

Also, some of my friends use a back brace that's turned around. Really helps. I might look into getting one of those eventually.

My wal-mart doesn't sell a whole lotta sports bras for the big-chested folk like me, though.

Heck, they barely carry bras in my size.

Ahh, I couldn't find an existing thread on this and couldn't find any info here (maybe I didn't look hard enough), but hopefully you can help. I've been basically practicing binding for my L crossplay, using (I think) about a 4in wide ACE bandage and it keeps falling! I only wore it for two or three hours at the longest (hanging out with other fellow DN cosplayers at my house for fun) and the dang thing ended up almost completely off by the end of it, despite numerous adjustments throughout the time. (I'm cursed with C-cups if that makes a difference.)

Cosplay_Rose: 1) How tightly are you binding? 2) What are you using to hold the bandage together? 3) Are you only using one?

Tight enough that I can't breathe xD
But really, not as tight as I could really.. See, since it's for L and L wears a baggy shirt, I figure I don't have to worry TOO much about it.
And I actually lost the clip the bandage came with (xD I have no idea how), so I had to use hair clips (The kind that bend flat when you close them). I'm hoping to find something else, but it's all I've got.
Yup, only using one.

Okay, suggestions:

Go to Walgreens, or CVS, or whatever your local drug store is. They sell extras of the little ace bandage clips. Also, sometimes Kroger, Randalls (or your local supermarket) has them. They might be a little hard to find, so ask an employee. If, for some ungodly reason, your local drug store and supermarket both do not sell the clips, you can get them online. Just google 'ace bandage clips'. Also, buy another ace bandage. It will help with the slippage, since both bandages will have something to cling to. Ever heard of how you can stick two phone books together, and simply by the friction caused by their pages, they will not come apart? Same principle. However, if you plan on doing anymore crossplays (and your sig does seem to indicate this) I'd just buy an Underworks binder. The tri-top goes for about thirty dollars and is an excellent investment. Just think of the money you'll save in lost ace bandage clips, worn out bandages, etc!

Here we go, clips: http://www.ithacasports.com/bandageclips.html.

I'd suggest the metal ones, or the ones that are expressly for ace.
