Um, this is really awkward, but...this will be my first time Crossplaying and I'd like some advice from experienced cosplayers. I'm going to crossplay Male! Belarus from Hetalia. My only real concern is what method should I use?

I am small chested, and don't want to damage my chest with a constricting binder or tape. Since I'm small, I don't require the same force, I just need something to flatten out my chest slightly. I'm thinking about using a Sports Bra, just to make them flat without applying too much pressure. Does anyone else have any suggestions?

Check out the new thread : http://www.cosplay.com/showthread.php?t=223461

I bought a sports' bra today, not for binding, but out of curiosity and for science, I tried on even the "XS". It did literally nothing to bind, but maybe another brand would.

But for the $16 that it cost, might as well just buy a binder - especially if you had to use two of them or one and something else.

Well, I finally gave in and bought an underworks compression shirt. Wish me luck. I'm pretty small (A-B).

I just want to mention a mistake I made. I've been using the tape method because the compression shirts are expensive. However, if you crossplay more than once during a con and go to at least two cons a year, you will be spending as much on the tape as the compression shirt. I went to multiple cons and gatherings last year and I realized recently that I spent about $50 on tape. I'm hoping the compression shirt will be a more permanent solution.

I've done something similar to Karisu-Sama's #5 on her list

I bought something similar to this: http://zoom.jcpenney.com//is/image/0...id=350&hei=350
at JcPenny's for around $25 (it's called a 'Waist Cincher' and can be found in the lingerie + sleepwear section of most department stores). I put that on over my chest then I got a thick ace bandage wrapped it around my chest, then folded the (I guess) cincher up to cover the ace bandage. It really worked nicely and I'm a D cup

As someone who had to bind her breasts to play Oliver Twist and do stunts in the costume, I would love to stress that you need to be sure not to go too tight or you will hurt yourself and have a hard time breathing. I did it during 12 hour tech and I was sore all week.

I'm considering buying a binder but I don't know which one I should get
I was looking at these underworks products
-Ultimate Chest Binder Tank
-Tri-top Chest Binder
-Microfiber Light Compression Tank
So does anyone have any reviews on any of these?

Oh and is white or black more convenient?

I would go with white, it shows up less in general, you have a better chance of dying it too.

I'm a 32/34A and have no idea what size to get. Unfortunately where I'm going to get them, I can't try them on. Would a S be okay?

^ You posted in the New thread, there is a link in the OP to Underworks page on how to find your size.

It has NOTHING to do with bra size.

@fersuregrawr, did you measure correctly ? They're good with exchanges if you need to, as well. It sounds like you have the wrong size.

Also, the model you get makes a difference. I wouldn't bother with the Microfiber Light Compression Tank unless you're maybe an A cup. The tri-top is the most "powerful" one they sell.

Can you get away with little to no binding if you're wearing a baggy costume? I'm doing human-form Grell from Kuroshitsuji, and his coat looks pretty large. I have an average-sized (C-cup) chest, and I was thinking of using a combination of sports bra and maybe Ace bandages if that's not enough.

Hey! So, I need help. I'm a D cup and i'm on the heavy side too~ =______= I also have very broad shoulders. So i pretty much have a guys body. I do ALOT of guys cosplay (secretly cuz of parental issues) but im having some issues with binding. I have a frog bra, and by itself I can get to C, maybe a large B. I wanted to be able to get to A, maybe flat... I have one ace bandage (3") but it doesn't like me and won't stay in place like I want it to... Any suggestions? I can't buy a binder (parental issues and money issues)... Thanks~ ^^
