Wow, a lot of posts here praising the Tri-top. I'm just going to throw in my own two cents after a full con of wearing mine over the weekend and say...yes, it works, but it's a bitch to get on and off. It WILL roll up in the back when you pull it on, and unless you can do some serious twisting to get hold of it to fix it, you're going to be stuck until you get some help. Once it's on, it's on - but no matter what your size, the bottom will roll up constantly, and even if you pull it down, it will roll up again within a minute, if that. It does get uncomfortable after a full day or more of wearing it. I'm going to be replacing mine with a T-kingdom binding top, one that attaches with velcro on the sides rather than pulling over the head.

Wah~ Just ordered tri-top binder in medium! I'm so nervous to get it now. I hope it works. It's being mailed to a friend's house. If my Mom saw it, she would probably accuse me of being something I'm not and then she would kill me.
TT^TT I hope it was worth $35 |

Alright. Time to ask the question... Okay, so I've been into cosplay for 2 years and I've (so far) only crossplayed. What is worrying me though is the effects of binding when I get older. This is sort of a "will I be like that old lady down the street tucking her boobs into her waist band" kind of thing. It probably sounds juvenile, but it is something I always worry about...
![]() Thanks for reading, any feedback would seriously be awesome ![]() P.S. I also use a tri-top binder, and if it helps I'm a small A/B

rUssia_waS_C1: I've always been told that happens from not wearing a bra enough, especially when you're more big-chested. I think it also has to do with the density of your tissue there. I've never heard of binding having that effect, since it basically keeps them from sagging more than a bra does.

Wow. It's only been four days and my binder already came in the mail! Now I just need to try it on, but I haven't had time! Hope I like it...
Update: I love it! It's comfortable. A word: don't get the next size down. I promise, if you do, you won't be able to put the thing on. Seriously. That binder is rotten to get on. It's very breathable, and it doesn't roll up too bad (not on me, anyway). I'm a 36C (purchased the medium) and when the binder is on it's almost like nothing is there. I definitely recommend it! It's so comfortable, I'm going to wear it all day! Last edited by crazywuzhere : 02-07-2012 at 08:31 AM. |

So I'm looking to buy a compression shirt but I don't know what size I would be. My bra size is a 36C so what size compressions shirt should I get? My waist measurment is 28 inches and my stomach is 30.5 inches.
http://www.underworks.com/996.html Does the measurment supposed to be before or after I'm binded? I know if I got the Tri-Top I would be a Medium but what about Underworks? Which one is better?

When you bind you want to take a breath out and hold it while you bind around your sports bra. That way you aren't dying of being constricted later on. Thats what works for me at least. I use Ace Bandages.

grimloveline: I feel your pain. My bandage always slides down and settles under my bust so I can't breathe. QAQ I'm going to invest in a second one so I can wrap more around my ribs to try and help hold everything up-ish.

I decided to try out the waist cincher method(the Cupid brand extra firm control one with hook closures in the front?) to see how it was before I spent money on an underworks binder, and I really like it.
I'm a 34D, and I got it in a small because I want to use it for a waist cincher outside of crossplay |D but the medium gave just about the same effect . http://i43.tinypic.com/w819vs.jpg (with a tank top on under it, however with a sports bra I found I got just a little bit flatter) http://i43.tinypic.com/124kkzd.jpg (with a tight-ish shirt on, which I won't be wearing for my crossplays lol) the only real problem I found with it is that with tighter shirts you can kinda see the boning underneath the shirt you're wearing, so if you wear tighter shirts often I'd probably say go get the one from underworks for sure lol. other than that, it's really comfortable and I'm glad I bought it :> I probably will buy an underworks binder in the future, but for now, it's a good enough substitute. |

I just got my Tri-Top chest binder today. Overall, I like it a lot. It doesn't get me completely flat, but fairly close. I'm a 34D, and I would say it brings me down to a little less than an A-cup. Much better then when I used two sports bras, which only got me to around a B-cup.
I know someone said something about it rolling up. I haven't really had much of a problem with it, then again, I haven't really worn it long term. The only time it happened for me is at the bottom of the shirt. It likes to roll a little bit when I'm sitting down, but it's pretty easy to fix. You do have to fight it a little to get it on and off, although it can be done. I found that if I pull one arm into the inside of the shirt and use it to wiggle the other one out helps. I'm not completely sure how to explain it, but it is possible. I also attached a before and after picture incase anyone wants to see the difference. |
