Well, the way I see it, it's officially getting an anime ... So why not begin a thread for it? I know over-seas there is plenty of delicious Hetalia cosplay out there and even a couple on the cosplay.com site.

Anyone planning any Hetalia cosplay here?

I'm currently planning an Austria cosplay. Trying to convince someone to be my Hungary!

I've noticed a recent increase of talk of Hetalia (questions, photos, etc) on this site, and it's definitely gotten me interested in it. I hope one day I can cosplay from it too.

Italy, Germany, and America are pretty cute so they are candidates.

Ok, so it's WAY too early for this, but I randomly ran into Hetalia and I can't get enough of it. My dream is to be the Italy with the little pizza prop. And your profile says you are planning Sweeden for Otakon 09. We should totally get a Hetalia group together and do a skit or something.

Greece speaking. ^^ I'm being him at Katsucon in February, and Anime Boston, and I am probably going to start a Holy Roman Empire cosplay too. This makes me so happy to see there's a Hetalia thread now. <3

I hope that the character profiles on the official Web site will be restored soon! I still have the character reference sheets from the site for Roderich Edelstein (Austria) and Ludwig (Germany) saved in my Photobucket if anyone needs 'em. I am seriously psyched about cosplaying as Gilbert Beilschmidt (Prussia) this year, but it is hard to find pictures of his uniform, and it is even harder to find consistent color pictures of his uniform. I could wait for the anime to come out, or for the characters page to go online again, but I don't know how long that will be and I'd like to start this costume early since my next convention is in June. I think I will just have to base the colors off real Prussian uniforms, though, finding a pattern to modify shouldn't be too difficult considering the widespread influence of the Prussian army.

And, man, am I glad to see this thread bumped because it needs so much more love. Though, I imagine we will be seeing more Hetalia costumes once the anime comes out.
