Speaking of US cosplay, does anyone know of a leathery jacket that looks like a bomber jacket that is not 100 dollars or more D8?

Anyone have any luck finding patterns for the uniforms? I've searched extensively... nada ^^'

I've found plenty of sites where you can buy uniform reproductions, if you're so surfeited with cash... Ludwig's, for instance (follow the link, click WW II Germany --> Uniforms --> SS-Combat and Service).

I'm pretty new to sewing clothing, so I hesitate to attempt to create a pattern from scratch... even if it needs to be heavily modified, something to go by would be great :]

Yeah, I do like some of them, like their Sweden looks pretty accurate.
But I'm just going ahead and making mine/buying pieces.

See, I'm lucky enough to live in a town that has a lot of military surplus stores, so we intend to do a lot of modifications, but if I come across patterns I'll let you know!

I'm lucky to live in a house with retired military personel. XD
Well, not totally...doesn't mean we've got stuff lying around the house, but it means my mom can tell me if I'm making things properly...

Though I think I might have to make baby! Greece. That way me and Chibitalia can beat up Turkey for polluting the Adriatic Sea.

I think that's awesome that Hetalia has gotten so popular that they are selling costumes on a cosplay site offered in English, but I do have to agree, I can't say that the colors on their Prussia costume are completely accurate either. They're offering those costumes at a decent price, though, I would probably still recommend it anyways to someone who was looking for Hetalia costumes if I knew anything about the store's reliability.

Oh, I was browsing Himaruya's blog earlier today, and decided to start uploading character designs to my Photobucket so that they're easier to find for us cosplayers. The character page is also back online at the official Web site if anyone is looking for some of the main characters.
