Here's a reference just in case you forgot what he looks like:

I'm cosplaying as him for an Expo in October and I seriously can't find a wig that even resembles/can be modeled into his hairstyle, help! T___T

I'm no expert at picking base wigs, but I'll try to answer your question (and maybe bump the thread so other people can see it xD)

Perhaps the Clover (I'm not sure how well the bangs would sweep to the side)
or the Scruffy (though it might be too short) might be all right for Toon Link.

No, the Scruffy is too short, it can't do the little tails on the sides. It could be done with extensions sewn into the sides but not otherwise.

I'm personally using a Wisp in 24b for my Toon Link cosplay (not a color I reccomend if you're doing his Brawl version actually, it's too yellow, go with 24 if you get a Wisp). It works okay but the back's a bit long and the sides are a bit more layered than I'd like.

If you want to cut as little as you can anything with a short back and longish sides could work. Off the top of my head:
Needs dyeing
Bangs a bit short
Any of Amphigory and Cosworx's short without bangs styles with a layered back, you'll just have to cut bangs

If you're not afraid of doing more cutting than that, just about any base wig longer than the chin will work, since his hair doesn't need extreme styling to accomplish. Just a short, layered back, long side thingies, and longish bangs that you can mess up a bit with pomade or hairspray.

If you want the color as accurate to his Brawl version as possible, I'd skip the ebay wigs, because you never know what shade of blonde exactly you're going to get in a blonde wig. If you like I can go through my color ring for you later. :3

Thats what I thought. Maybe need some styling but its a great base to work off of, with the color Luther suggested. The back is long, which is great since you can cut it to the exact length you want.
