I'm at a total loss. I made one by just painting a plain store bought mask, but it looked like $h!+. help me

the thing is you have to give the mask dimension or else it just comes out looking stupid. i'm making one for this year's sakura con too ( one of my Friend's is going as the blue spirit) what you can do is buy a plaster casting at a craft store and use those gauze/ plaster strip things over the casting so it looks like the mask. then paint it.
