I'm being Mello in about...a day and a bit, and I'm wondering what kind of chocolate I should buy. (Not TOO expensive!!!!).

I've been debating about using Hershey's, but if you have any better suggestions, I'd LOVE to hear them.

Is debating really the right word? Hershey's has the right shape and you can get it for less than a dollar. Why not?

But you also might consider molding your own out of some sort of material, like sculpey, so that it doesn't melt/you don't get sick from constantly eating chocolate while in costume.

Yeah, but I might make some (for a different con) to carry around with me, and then have other ones I eat.

hershey's is DEFINATELY the way I would go for etible (i hate spelling) chocolate, If you can find it in the silver wrapper, great! If not, just take it out of the packaging and wrap it in tinfoil. But be careful, IT MELTS FAST!!!

Try freezing the candy bar first. That'll keep it from melting for a little while. But if you need to keep one in your hand all day, you'll probably eat a bunch of them every day. Don't get fat!

Thanks!! Yeah, I was thinking I'd have to freeze it.
I'm staying at my friends house tonight and there is a grocery store about...2 minutes from her house, so I think I'll be able to find some there.

there are some chocolates...i think like types of uh...wonka bars maybe? with silver paper like that...hersheys doesn't have the silver stuff....but...i'd go to a store...and feel up some choco bars..(hehe that sounded weird)...and count the squares and see if it has the silvery paper stuff

I use Hersheys (I hate chocolate, so the less money I have to spend on the prop, the better), just yank the brown/maroon (they say its actually maroon, not brown - the more you know) wrapper off, pull down the foil a bit. And its perfect. Sha-zam (LALALA IGNORE THE OLD WIG)

Hersheys does have the foil wrapper. There are a lot of plastic wrapped ones, but you can find the older wrapper ones at grocery stores still.
