Holiday Shopping Gift Ideas For Cosplayers

With the holiday shopping period quickly approaching, what are some gift ideas that would be perfect for that special cosplayer friend or loved one in your life? What would you want to recieve with cosplay in mind?

I would say an affordable figurine of a character that the person cosplays would be a good choice.

Money/gift cards (that way you always get exactly what you know you need rather than have someone else guess at it), I like the statue/figurine idea as a reference, costuming and sewing books, wig/hair styling things (clips, heat setter, individual extensions, etc), period clothing books (the Modiste collection is what I want very badly to have, especially the Edwardian one), maybe a pass to a con.

Generally I'd prefer to buy my own actual cosplay materials/wigs/contacts/whatever because it's difficult for noncosplayers (such as family) to know what to get me. But I'd love anime, manga, movies, or video games - things I can list easily and isn't likely to confuse those who aren't familiar with the culture.

I bought quite a few gifts for my cosplaying friends while I was in Italy. I got this apron that has all kinds of pasta printed on it for my friend who does North Italy. I got a music note necklace for one who does fem!Austria (also it's red and white the colors of the Austrian flag). I got heart necklaces for some Kingdom Hearts cosplayers.

on my birstday i even told my dad..dont get me any other presents..i want THESE things..not something you pick out..i know its mean but i dont have enough for this..why waste the money on something i wont use as much? so yea money or gift cards is your best bet

I always ask for random fabric or a giftcard to a fabric store xD I wouldn't ask for fabric for a specific cosplay, because I don't think my friends would pick out the right thing...but I like sewing clothes, so I take any fabric lol

Gift cards to places where you know a cosplaying friend buys supplies are always nice. Give me gift cards for Atlantic Fabrics, Fabricville, or Tandy, and we're all good! Or in the case of Anime cosplayers, gift cards to wherever they buy their anime and manga would be good too!

Giftcards to Joann, eBay, Amazon, Michael's, Home Depot, the like etc etc. And plushies... You can never go wrong with plushies.

Art books, makeup, gift cards to places I shop. Accsessories.

i am not into figurines and i have enough plushies... So yeah.
