Any steampunk cosplayers here?

I have been slowly (very very slowly) working on a steampunk outfit for some future Dragoncon. I was browsing casually online, and came across these:

Steampunk rings!

Holy COW are they awesome. I don't suppose anyone has made a purchase from these folks before and has one of these? I'd love to know if they look as cool in person, or how they hold up over time. I really am debating purchasing one, even if my final costume is still months away.

I'm working on a steampunk getup myself, but most of the tech will have to wait until I get the sewing done.

The person who makes those rings has a lot more of them here: http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php..._id=18445 008 and you can see feedback and everything. I love Etsy.

I was JUST looking at her full store. My boyfriend and I each have one picked out already and are buying them soon as we have some extra funds. They are sooooo wicked.

Boss. I've thought of delving into the steampunk theme and this is just another reason to try.

I've been lurking/watching the steampunk comm on LJ for a while now. I looooove the esthetic, I just haven't been able to work on any projects lately, though hopefully I can get something done this year!

Those rings are AWESOME! I love the one in green. ;awejfoiej And they're not that bad of a price! I totally want one XD

Try searching steampunk in the forums. I'm pretty sure there is at least one thread under "Other Costumes."

Wow... those are pretty fancy. How I wish I had unlimited funds!

I actually haven't made a steampunk outfit yet, but that's definitely on my list. It is a wonderful style, isn't it?

Some of the rings are only $35-40.

The theme for Metrocon this year is actually Fantasy vs. Sci-fi with a Steampunk influence, so Steampunk definitely seems to be getting very popular.

I saw this amazing concept for a steam punk Princess Leia that I'm dying to make.

I just have to get permission from the artist....
