Miku Hatsune's Wig Color?

I've been very frustrated on which color to pick for Miku's hair. o.e
I've asked a lot of friends, but they keep giving me different opinions and I feel like my head is about to explode.
For those of you who have bought wigs before from cosworx in various different colors, I've been deciding between the Seafoam Green color and Light Blue color.
Which one is more accurate?

Seafoam. DEFINATELY. I've heard it's green in some lights and blue in others, so you kinda get both.

No, no no no. Seafoam green is too green, in my opinion. I've always seen Miku as being more blue than green, so I would go with a lighter blue.

At the very least, get the wig FIRST before you get the fabric, OR, match the wig to the fabric. That's what usually gets me about this cosplay. Her hair and the trim on her outfit match, so I think you should try as hard as possible to get them to correspond well. If your fabric is more blue than green, go with blue. If your fabric is more green than blue, go with the green. If you haven't bought any fabric yet, pick the color you like best and get the fabric to match.

Everyone has different opinions on the color of her hair. Some people think it's green, others think it's blue. I agree with Cora on the matching the wig with the fabric though. Just go with whatever color you want really.

That's sorta my problem. I can't pick between those 2 colors. ><
And I've heard that seafoam is really hard to photograph right, so I need to hear from someone who has bought a wig in that color.

...Check the wigs in action thread, someone has a wisp in seafoam there, somewhere 8D
I had this problem with my Miku wig too, I just got the cosplaywig one. It's really nice too, but now they have a new one is pretty accurate to Miku's hair, and close to cosworx's Light blue. I'd probably go with Light blue, now that I think about it.

I'm also having the same problem currently. >_<; I'm thinking of getting either seafoam green or light blue from Cosworx, but I'm a bit hesitant about making any rush decision, coz last time I've made a mistake at ordering the right wig from eBay (you can check what happened in http://www.cosplay.com/showthread.php?t=164193 ).
But well, interestingly, the wig I've got was actually kinda perfect for Miku's color. O.o I thought that it was too green (based on the eBay photo), but it turned out that it's a kind of green/blue. Yet I can't really determine it's real color, since it tends to change under different lights (it even looks like seafoam green under the sunlight!). But the reason I'm thinking of getting another one is coz I'm not sure if that eBay seller has extensions of the exact same color, and that wig is also slightly longer that I'd need to cut it a bit (yet I'm not confident about my skills lol).

But well, aside of not knowing which color - seafoam green or light blue - matches Miku's color better (although I've taken a liking of seafoam one), I'm also in doubt coz if I get the one in seafoam green, I'd only be able to buy the 24" long extensions from Cosworx, but if I get the light blue one, I can get 48" extensions from Doctored Locks ( http://www.doctoredlocks.com/store/prod-0002.html ).
I'm not sure about the difference in their qualities, but Doctored Locks' extensions are much longer and also less expensive. And I'm not sure if 24" is really enough for Miku hair's length.

About other cosplayers, I guess that the majority uses a kind of green with some traces of blue.

Why do people keep saying Miku's hair is light blue? For me it's more of a Deep sky blue or a Cyan or a Seamfoam green but not a light blue

@Danayoki; the first picture looks more accurate, the second might look a bit lighter because of the lighting in that place.

@Comica: Well, it depends: Do you think you can be with 48" extensions? THose are quite long... i mean, you can acidentallly sit on them, or get them caught in a door or something... I mean, four feet? Wow, it's too long in my opinion. But if you wanna be accurate go ahead.

Although, I really don't recommend light blue.. it's not Miku's color. I've seen her cosplays in light blue, and they look pretty inaccurate to me.

Actually, I've used a very long wig some time ago, and it was really annoying that I've never used it again lol. >_<; But ponytails might be easier to handle I guess.
I dunno if 24" (it's 60cm right?) is enough, since I'm kinda tall (1.70m).

But do you think that the light blue from Cosworx is not accurate? Do you think that the seafoam green they have are more accurate?

Well, 24" is two feet long. Might reach somewhere around mid back. Many people don't use the pony tails too long, it can get to be annoying.

Ok, so this is cosworx light blue
And this is cosworx D.Green

and here's Miku Hatsune

Hm.... the light blue here does seem slightly accurate, but if I learned anything from cosworx is that the picture barely looks like the real color of the wig. Sometimes it is darker, other times it's lighter. So if it was me, I think I'd choose neither and try to look for a color in between. The green is too dark and the light blue is too light. But if you really want to go with one of these.. hm... I don't think I'd use the light blue, since I've seen miku in light blue, and I don't like it much. =/

Thanks for the reference! ^_^ Hmm it's kinda hard to choose, since based on these pictures, I'd say that the light blue one would be more accurate, but just as you said, the picture of the color often might not match the real color of the wig.

But well, I've seen some pictures of Miku cosplay, and most of them does seem to use a kind of seafoam green but lighter, so maybe I'll go for this color instead (and hope that the wig won't be too dark in reality - by the way, the picture of the green one you posted is dark green, but it's not seafoam green right?). And I guess that it's better to go for 24" extensions after all, since I don't want to deal with supa long wigs again lol. ^_^;
But well, I'll wait for a bit longer before making the final decision. X3

Yeah it's the dark green, not seafoam =3

Yeah, keep looking for more options, until you find the right wig. it's out there, you'll find it! X3

Honestly, I think the only way you'd get her hair color is a custom dye. Viewing all the refs I've seen it seems a turquoise to me. A light blue wig with a sharpie wash using their turquoise markers would get this effect.

I personally feel the most inaccurate color I've seen is the cosplaywig one. I don't know where the heck people are getting dark green. That wig irritates me so badly--clip on pigtails? Come on! I know their wigs are very high quality, though.

If Cosworx was actually a seafoam as I've seen seafoam--a turqoise (forgive the retarded link) it would work out better but still not quite there--a little too light.

The problem is that 90% of Miku art is fanart. The only picture you can go by as being official is the box art, which shows the turquoise. So honestly, you can go with whatever color you personally think looks good on YOU, and you know you'll be accurate, but most people will still have their opinion.

So your best bet? Pick ONE reference--be it fanart, PVC figures, the box, and stick to it. And if anyone gives you any grief, just point out that THIS is your Miku version, it is accurate, and they can stick it.
