True, true. XDD This also means you get to pick out any, and I mean any, other person for me to cosplay as.

About the shoes....Yes, I will be dancing in them. I'm not teaching myself rudimentary ballet for nothing!

And a Femio cosplayer?!?!?! *tackleglomp* YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYY!

My Princess Tutu plans are probably going to be for Anime North 2010. : )
I want to do a Kraehe, put that thinking cap to work. And I know I'll have a Tutu.
: ) With potential Azura, Mytho and Fakhir. Maybe even some other characters, too, depending on how many people I can coerce.

So very exciting : )

If you're going to be dancing in them, I would recommend getting spilt-sole shoes, whether you go with leather or canvas. They're so much easier to dance in, and they just look better.

(I like canvas better, but that's just me.)

Thank you. *writes "split-sole shoes" next to "ballet shoes" on list of materials needed*

Guess what? There's a dance store downtown and it looks like they have a lot of what I need! So happy!

I would go with canvas split soles. In my experience they're a lot more durable, and convention friendly. They're also generally more cost efficient. The only problem is, with any ballet shoes, your feet start to hurt after a while of con time, because there's virtually minuscule amounts of support in them.

I might be cosplaying Azura for a con in Febuary. <3 It all depends on if my friend wants to do Ahiru.

Then I can bang on a drum and end all my sentences with Zura... also maybe following random people saying "love-love-love-love-love-love.."

And and!!

walking funny. It should be awesome if I can do it. <3

I love Princess Tutu-as a ballerina and an anime geek, it's one of my favourite series. ^^

I want to cosplay as Tutu someday, but the wig will definitely give me trouble. Maybe I could do Kraehe, as I have her hair, but her costume will definitely not go over well with my parents. xD

haha yeah parents can be funny about that kind of thing, but with Krahe's costume, I can see why.

My parents - my mom, at least - on the other hand would probably be delighted if I wore something like that. XD Crossplay is my so-to-speak specialty. When I told my mom I was interested in cosplaying someone from Princess Tutu (she is also a fan), she got quite excited - and when I showed her Autor, she kind of mock-sighed and said, "Can't you be a girl for once?"

I'm probably just going to be schoolboy-Femio, BTW. You're seriously going for dancer-Femio? @_@ That'll be fascinating.

I'm still waiting to see a Pique and lilli costume! Though I've never looked. There's also the flower girl! But Autor is good too!

And yes, I'm doing dancer femio. I'm almost done actually. =)

I want to see the dancer Femio costume. ^^

Did you modify ghilles for his ballet shoes?

I really don't know what I'll do about his shoes. I have a pair of red pointe shoes that I may use, which would sacrifice some accuracy, but allow me to do some epic tricks.

Femio is definitely one for epic tricks. xD

If you want, the dance store I go to sells a really great brand of ghilles and I could tell you the name.

It really depends on the price range I guess. The red pointe shoes give the same look, and I already have them, so they seem like the best choice for me. Also, Id need the ghilles to come in red, which is kind of a hard color to find in shoes my size. xD But yeah, if you wanted to drop the name in my inbox, that'd be great!
