I think the op is talking about a style of men's clothing that also fits within the lolita fashion. Brolita, a term I don't really care about, is men cross dressing in lolita fashion

I agree. Cant stand the term "brolita". Implies dumb frat boys stuffed in gal's outfits. Lolita is lolita, no matter the gender of the person wearing it. It shouldn't have a seperate catagory.

Double down on that. I'm not one who gets "offended" in the conventional sense, but "brolita" irks me. The term itself rings with a slight connotation that one is somehow ashamed or needs to reaffirm something despite being into lolita.

And that's just not cricket. Bad enough the lolita circle is rife with disparaging terminology, negativity and elitism.

When I hear "brolita" I picture big, beefy guys in frills bro-fisting each other. Not the image anyone wants to see in real life.

It's why I asked because I got called it and a Sissy before and both terms really bother me. It's not my fault I am transgender.
