Second opinion? I always get a big haul of stuff when everything goes on sale after Halloween. I was gonna' get me some of the costume shoes, and I was wondering if they could work in a lolita coord.

Like these. Maybe some clip on bows and some knee-highs with lace at the top.

I can't decide if they're stripper-y or not. XD

Honestly, I've seen tons of Lolitas wear boots close to that. I think the heels were much shorter, but I think they would work in the right coord..

With the right outfit they shouldn't look stripper-y. My friend has those same boots and pairs them with long shorts and a tee and doesn't look like a stripper (ha).

I'm just curious what everyone thinks of ballerina flats? (They are NOT the same as ballet slippers, which are used for the actual dance)

The strap on many Lolita's Mary Jane esque shoes cuts makes me look even shorter than I am (because it breaks up the continuous line of my leg through my ankle through my feet).

PERSONALLY I'm not about flats. I think you should have at least has a small heel (like a kitten heel) rather than no heel at all. I'm only 4'11 so understand your problem of not wanting to look shorter than you already are. Plus I think sometimes (depending on the coord) flats can stand out as being too plain compared to the rest of your outfit.
Depending on what style you're into (gothic, sweet, classic) there's a lot of non-mary jane options. There's boots (victorian, pastel and punk styles), oxfords, creepers, rocking horse shoes, those new popular velvet platforms and tons others!

Would you call this Lolita? It's my Classic Disney style Alice. I prefer the classic to the mcgee version I grew up with an outfit like this

No, that's an Alice Costume. It meets certain Lolita criteria but it is very obviously an Alice costume. Also - exposed Pettis Are generally a no-no.

This is not lolita, this is a cosplay.

And to echo what Luna said, your petticoat shouldn't be showing.

Magic Tea Party tends to be poor quality though..Infanta is the better option!

Hi! I made this/ drafted this for school and was wondering if it could be considered lolita?
https://scontent-a-ord.xx.fbcdn.net/...3f&oe=550CE47F

It is currently made out of muslin so just going by design and shape I guess?

Also if I were to make a final version what kind of fabric or accents should I add to it?

By itself, not really. While it does have the shape and length, it's missing a lot of the lolita aesthetic. Most of that will come from finished fabric and how you coordinate it though, so I say it could easily become a lolita skirt. If you want some ideas for pleated lolita skirts, you can look through these.
