Characters with short black/dark hair?

I can't come up with much characters that have short black hair and have a fairly interesting/different costume than just your average school uniform and casual wear type stuff. Can anyone help me out? I'll accept crossplay suggestions.

Motoko Kusanagi, the movie version, has pretty short dark hair and non-standard outfit options.

And I know her outfit is fairly simple, but I keep thinking of Ryoko Takeuchi from Blue Seed. xD Her and Misao from Rurouni Kenshin.
