So how do my arms look lately? I think they might be a little more convincing with a slightly lower bodyfat but I'm not sure I can get more mass. I'm at about 13".

Well, I significantly improved and AM improving. My thread is gone, but hey.

Just wish I had a really detailed cosplay to see how well I would look with it. Damn commissioners. You give them three months, and they give you two update pictures without any part of the wearable costume. >_> ... Ain't getting that for my con next week. ):

Cosplay 1: Sailor Venus (Commissioner failed to make 4 month deadline)
Update: August 10th.... still nothing.

Reality: Recycled or no cosplay at all. Got to love commissioning! Thanks everyone!! Serious thanks to Dulcinea, who actually made the deadline for the accessories far in advance and of outstanding quality. Sucks they won't be used.

It sounds minor but it's pretty amazing the difference it can make
That has actually never been mentioned before. I need to try that! Now I am guessing that I do the grey powder before I apply the beard right? And the brown pencil to blend the harder edges goes after I apply the facial hair I'm guessing? I'm not terribly good with makeup and honestly have been too lazy to try any contouring makeup to make me look more Depp-ish. lol But I will definitely try out your suggestions! Thanks!

Did a makeup/binding/padding test for my Loki crossplay. What do you guys/girls think? Masculine enough?

I'm wearing a small sports bra, two leotards, spanx, and my shoulders are padded to give more of a (hopefully) masculine shape.

I think I finally pass as my true self. This picture on my profile is my latest attempt at being the real me. I am Alice so I might as well dress the part and the beauty is change the apron, tights, shoes to boots, add the skull bow at the back and get rid of the hair bows and its the American McGee one.

http://shiawasehito.tumblr.com/post/...ore-make-up-or

I promised friends I'll be a short Kaname to their tall Zeros, I think Kaname is pretty hard to pull off since he's suppose to be super regal looking.

I am indecisive about make up style, and hair color for now, any body have suggestions on what I can do to become a more passable pure blood prince thing?

BTW

MagicStar you look really good in your first date photo

Kandell you have a great face for Loki maybe more sinister looking eyebrows, but you are looking really awesome, lower thigh armor to make your legs more masculine can probably draw away fro the hour glass shape.

MagicalStar, your pictures look awesome. If it doesn't sound creepy, may I compliment your legs. The dress with the split front looks really good on you.

Shia, it's hard to tell with the white on white. Could you take a picture on a differently colored background?

What is the costume going to look like ?

I just want you to know honestly that the binding isn't effective. I don't know what you're working with and maybe this made a really big difference.

You might be able to get away with this if the costume is a bit bulky on top.

I think the makeup looks really good, so I don't want that to let you down.

The shoulders on the costume are pretty big, right ? I'd try to see what you can do with their size to try to get yourself to read more as an inverted triangle.

I haven't seen the movie, but I've seen stuff on Tumblr and I think you should be able to make the costume work to your advantage and conceal the areas that are "giving it away" right now. Doing that and the great job you've done on the makeup should be A+ !

Yeah, you want grey/blue - something like that it will vary a bit depending on your skin tone (and since I'm a ghost what I've found that works for me might not work for you). You can do the pencil to blend the hair pieces before or after - whichever you find works better (don't want the netting getting in the way, but hopefully you should be able to just go over that after it's applied). I'd do a bit on the underside of your chin, too.

I like to think of makeup as basically just art skills like painting and colour theory. I think a lot of people stumble when they try to do "makeup" but think of like teen beauty movies and magazines. It's more like painting - the same concepts used in weathering garments and armour.

If you wanted to try contouring I'd try giving you some shadows under your cheek bones and defining your nose a bit since his is always rather shadowy.

Speaking of, I know you've put a lot of money into this costume but have you considered weathering ? It can be a difficult thing to make yourself do but it adds a lot of character and realism.

In that line, since I know you put a lot into this I'd also consider doing a bit of makeup "grime" and shine since he has a bit of dirt on him almost all the time.

I'd say heck yes, although eyebrows can be a bit stronger/more defined.

http://alittlemagicaldeer.tumblr.com/post/51630736507

Okay so. My main gripe with this is mostly...facial and body expressions, I guess. I know this is something that's super hard/annoying to convey through words and stuffs, but I'd really like tips on it. I feel like my facial and body expressions are way too...I dunno, sharp? Intense? Something like that.
