horror manga

i just barely got into reading manga and i'm wondering if there are any really cool horror manga out there. if anyone can recommend any i would be very greatful ^_^

my favorite horror manga that's out is Uzumaki. i don't scare easily but this freaked me out. Junji Ito is a great writer and his art style is really amazing and adds the perfect touch to story. And since it's only 3 novels long, it's not too bad on your wallet either.

Try Island. You can get it at any book store. I got mine at Walden books.

ooo yes! Island is very, very cool!!

Island is published by Tokyopop you can check it out at tokyopop.com.

Uzumaki and Tomie are both published by Viz, i believe. and to check that out, go on over to viz.com

all three titles can be bought at the respective websites or you can find them at places like Waldenbooks, which is where i get most of my books, or you can go to Borders, Barnes and Noble or Suncoast.

all are popular titles and not hard to find, good luck!

p.s. i've never heard of Nightmare Fairy Tales, is that a manga?

Hmm... I'm thinking that Pet Shop of Horrors might be a good one.. But I'm not too sure. I've only read a small smple of it but it's one of those horror/scary type of mangas.

There's also a new one coming out called Gyo or something. I think it's by the same artist as Uzumaki. It's about killer fish.

Night Mare Fairy Tales it not manga but is a realy great comic and there very cheap and funny well the 4th one is or i just have sick humor (anthor JTHM fan in world). its about a doll Annabelle who tells story of what she has seen in her life as a doll, the frist issue was about a girl surronded by murders and here best friend who think she a vampire and the 4th was her version of snow white. this are not really scary but very enjoyble.

I got it at hot topic. im afriad that they wont have the frist two but o well if you want to see if its good just buy the 4th issue. Its only 3$

It is! I read a free sample of it that I got from AX. It's really creepy. My friend thought it was stupid, but I can't wait for it to come out.

As far as horror manga goes, I don't think anyone's mentioned Vampire Princess Miyu yet. So there...I just mentioned it.
