Vanille - Final Fantasy XIII
I didn't see a thread specifically for this character, so here goes!
Is anyone else planning on cosplaying her? She is just SO cute, I think I'll be making this instead of Nariko (heavenly sword). Anyone else out there planning on making this costume? Let's work together, guys! ^_^

Her full name is Oerba Dia Vanille, and yes, I would LOVE to cosplay her someday. I love messing with beads, so all that jewelry of hers should be fun to do.
Of course, I'm going to have to wait until there are some shots of her that show her skirt from the front, as well as what the heck that thing on her left hip actually is. o.O |

I am going to be waiting for images of the front, as well - I like to make my costumes as accurate as I can.
 Yeah, the thing on her back is CRAZY. Weapon? Musical instrument? Who knows. In the meantime I'll be buying beads, faux fur and start working on her top.

I'd LOVE to cosplay her but I think my body shape is a little too off to portray that correctly XD Maybe if I slim down. She's just SO CUTE. Irresistible to cosplay, I swear. She's officially on my list of "want to cosplay asap" XD

She's so friggin CUTE! As soon as a friend showed me her picture, I put it on my "To Cosplay" list right away. XD All that beading... I'm gonna have to have my friend help me with that. o_o;

One of my friends actually commented that she would be my next cosplay upon seeing the video that was released recently. XD;
I bet she will be the next FF sweetheart, for sure! Her weapon looks confusing, though - it seems to fold to fit on her back. :| The image I've added below shows a joint in it, but still!

I hope that I'll have room to make this cosplay as well, Vanille is really cute. I agree with you Enny, the beading is what looks like a lot of fun. I haven't been able to tell clearly what the front of the skirt looks like either but here are some screens that show it a little better:

Yeah I would definitely wait because Square is releasing Advent Children on Blu-ray with a FFXIII game demo, in Japan only. Unfortunately I don't think it comes out until April but I'm sure that several new screens will pop up on the internet afterwards, hopefully some of them will be of Vanille. |

Those screenshots are great! =) Yeah, it looks to me like she's got more than one skirt going on. Maybe one is a wrap-around?
According to the Final Fantasy Wiki, she's an archer, and that that thing is a modernized bow. Hopefully more screens will pop up soon, because I don't think that thing even vaguely resembles a bow. o.O |

I absolutely fell in love with Vanille's designs the first time I saw her. She is just too cute! And I love her hair. I'm definitely thinking of adding her to my cosplay plans for this year. :]

I want to wait on more reference images, as well -- April isn't so far away, and you know our Japanese nerd counterparts across the pond will probably spam the internet with screenshots.

And her ear's are stretched too! She looks like one of those character's that are easilly excited, and carefree. Not to mention I love her design and the beading. She's on my cosplay list.

She is honestly the reason I am getting excited for XIII...From the beginning she looked like a character I would probably like, but after seeing a full shot of her, I immediately added her to my cosplay list...Not only is her costume just adorable but she just seems like she will fit right in with the sweet and gentle characters. I do not think I shall be making this costume for at least another year or so but it is definitely on my list! <3
