I have found this wig. Do you think the color is good?

Sorry to revive a semi-dead thread, but I had a quick question!

I'm pretty much set on how to make this costume, but the belt has completely stumped me as far as material is concerned. Once I figure that out, it'll be full steam ahead. So! For anyone who's made the tan belt already, what material did you use?

Just wondering but I was thinking about getting some circle lenses for my cosplay as Vanille. I've collected quite a lot of reference pictures and they look green in the 'official' picture of her, but as I usually have dark eyes (I'm asian) I was thinking about getting grey ones instead, to make my eyes pop. Does anyone have any experience or advice to add?

(I regularly wear contacts )

Unless you want to learn to weave/have weaving experience already, the easiest way to go would be to use a woven belt in the right pattern and color and modify it to be like her belt. It is obviously not made from fabric, so that would be a bad choice.

@ blueskysunday: That's what I was planning, as I don't have that weaving experience. I'm mostly just stuck at how to make those ridges, because you're right, they don't look like fabric - they honestly look like some sort of clay, but that won't wrap around someone's waist without cracking. Hm.

Thank you very much for the reply!

I'm going to sneak into this thread if that's OK.. x'D

I'm planning on starting a Vanille cosplay very soon. I've been looking at the Vanille wig on cosplaywig for a while, even before coming across this thread.. I think it looks perfect, and I was set on ordering it but I'm afraid of getting a 'dud'.. D: I've ordered two wigs from cosplaywig before, they were super great but both times I've had a small, small problem with the mesh showing through.
So I'm just wondering if I should take the chance? (Calling it a 'chance' seems dramatic.. xD) Would you guys who bought the wig recommend it? I'll probably wait a while anyway, since I need to get some money first, so I still have time to think anyway.
Sorry for the long post! >__<;

I bought the wig from cosplaywig recently and I got lucky! I didn't get a dud wig, it was perfect! All I had to do was trim the bangs and comb out the back just a little bit, but otherwise it was pretty dandy. I've ordered from them many times before and have never had any issues with them.

Pic of said wig, pre styled/trimmed here: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...anillewig2.jpg

Oh. My. God. That is simply gorgeous! I wish it was a pinker colour though. But oh man! I'm so jealous.

It's pinker in person, I noticed that depending on the lightning it can get very pinkish or very orange, but that's totally fine with me!

I went and ordered the Vanille wig from cosplay wig, too. ^^; And I love it. I think it's perfect! I was expecting the worst for the back, but it's much better than I expected. If anyone is interested at all, there's a picture of it in my WIPs gallery. Though it's not a very good photo. ^^;

I'd cosplay her (with pride) if i had the body, but i think i'll give it a go and overcome shyness =) not many people nit pick on size now days right? whats there to be afraid of?... =)

But DAMN, those beads are going to KILL me if the skirt doesnt first! (i suck at skirts. period.)

she has to be one of the cutest characters ever! ^,^ i was jsut so sad at the end of the game though!! T^T can't wait to cosplay her!! ( i probably wont just yet... i think i'd be just a little inappropriate for a 13 year old to be running round in skimpy clothes xD) maybe when i'm 16? YAY! =D

Well, I was expecting the worst for the back like I mentioned, but when I got it I was pretty pleased. The fibres on the back (near the tails) are the tiniest bit fuzzy (I think that can be expected with tails, unless the zigzag is really good..), but it's hardly noticeable at all! and doesn't bother me, so it's not a problem. Also, from what I can tell the fibres are zigzagged back there, too. I vote for cosplaywig's Vanille ^‿^
