I'm cosplay Li Xingke from Code Geass http://i100.photobucket.com/albums/m...9176377ra1.jpg
Also Diva from Blood+ http://i100.photobucket.com/albums/m26/Scooby817/D2.jpg
I was looking for a long black wig that might work for both.
Amphigory.com seems like it has some really good options. I picked out some I think might work but I'm still kinda new when it comes to wigs so I was looking for input and suggestions. Also if I'm in the right direction as far as picking a wig. If anyone has other wig suggestions outside the three I picked let me know I could use the help.
I was thinking this one cause it's already has bangs and I wouldn't have to do much if any cutting. But I don't think it's long enough in the back for Li Xingke. http://www.amphigory.com/wigs_a_cleo.html
This one seems a little longer in th back but the bangs might not be long enough. http://www.amphigory.com/wigs_d_kathryn.html
This one is indeed long enough but it has no bangs. I would have to cut them myself. I'm kinda new at cutting wigs but I know I can do it if I take my time. I see bangs can be cut into the wig from pic of other cosplayers who used it. It's a little pricey but if I'm gonna get more than one cosplay use it should be worth it. http://www.amphigory.com/wigs_enchantment.html
So will any of these wigs work for Li Xingke? Will any work for Diva? Will any of them work for BOTH?
If anything I'm mostly looking for a wig for Li Xingke. I was just trying to see if whatever wig I bought for him might work for Diva so I didn't have to buy 2 wigs cause that can get expensive.
If I can get a wig that looks almost to exact like Li Xingke I figure I can brush some of his longer hairs to the back and reuse it for Diva. I know Li Xingke hair is longer in the back than Diva but I don't think that'll matter much since you might not see the back. For Diva I think because of the wings, collar, crown etc... the lenght of the wigs back or bangs won't make much of a difference just as long as it's not a huge difference in lenght just a small.
The only wigs I've worked with so far were Halloween wigs and I never really had to do anything to them to get them to look like my characters hair. I'm taking my cosplaying to the next level and I want the wig quality to match my improved sewing skills. I'd hate to have this nicely made costume only to have a poor wig. I'm still a little new to wig styling but I'm confident I can do it. Plus I'll have help from people who have professional hair style experience.
