Captain Marvel?

I am starting my Captain Marvel cosplay soon, but I've run into a several road blocks along the way.

1. I know there are a couple of unitard patterns out there, but is there one you would recommend over another for that form fitting?
2. Should I go shiny or non-shiny with the material? And what type of material would you recommend?
3. What is the best method for applique for the pattern on her chest?

Thank you!

Not specific advice, but God Save The Queen Fashions has a lot of advice on her Facebook page.

For the applique, I know other folks have used stitch witch to hold down the symbol, etc before sewing to get a really clean looking finish.

I haven't used stitch witch too often, but I will keep this in mind when I get around to making it ^^

A friend of mine, Bettie Bloodshed, has a pretty awesome Captain Marvel costume. You can find her on FB. She didn't make it though, a friend did as a gift. I've seen it in person and it's not "shiny" material but it does seem to have, I'm not sure how to describe it, a shimmer to it all most? Not glitter but it's just just normal either?
