Need Cosplay Ideas (...sorry to be trite)

I'm really at a loss for cosplay ideas...most of the series I like feature women who wear things that would not flatter me.
Here's a pic of me at AX this year.

I wanted to do Fujina from Himiko-den, but I think that might be a little difficult for me. Could someone also tell me what series she is from?

The picture is of Alex and Luna from Lunar. As for costumes, if the gals you like alot wear things you feel comfortable in, maybe you can go as a guy from one of those series? (what series ARE you into for that matter?)

Record of Lodoss War, Neon Genesis Evangelion, .hack//sign, Inuyasha, Himiko Den, Read or Die, Metropolis, Trigun, Cowboy Bebop, Naruto, Miyazaki films, Battle Angel Alita, HunterXHunter (though i've only seen 2 eps), and One Piece. I also like most of the Final Fantasy series, but I'm not eager to cosplay from it.

I don't really want to crossplay. It's really difficult to make me look like a guy. Suggestions don't have to be limited to what i've seen. I just want to do something that looks really fun to sew and wear.

*thinks* Meryl and/or Milly from Trigun works for everyone I've seen cosplay one of them. The Paper from Read or Die also seems like fun, same with the school uniforms from Eva.

Battle Angel Alita cosplay would be great!

I love Alita and I've only seen one cosplay of her, and it wasn't really good either.

How about Little Neese from ROLW? She is not cosplayed often. I did an outfit of hers from the manga artbook- easiest costume to put together EVER. Check out my homepage to see it.
