I am looking to have something commissioned but can't find a new thread/posting button to put my wanted ad up. Can anyone help?

I am just looking for someone to commission it, not trying to solicit business.

I am assuming by becoming a member for 30 days will allow me to post a wanted ad?

You will also need to have 10 posts in these forums, but yes, you also need to have been a member for 30 days. Sometimes this takes a little while to kick in, so if it doesn't immediately allow you to post an ad on day 30 or 31, wait another day or so.

thanks, i took some time to read around. seems like a lot of spammer around, hence the strict measures.

as an addendum I think we can have a vote/buyer's rating's system just like eBay so that at least people know who to buy from and who has mediocre to poor rating. Afterall cosplayers are on a tight budget and it would suck if someone gets scam, worst thing can happen is when you waited so long and you can't attend a con because someone is a swindler!

That's what the review forum and the commissioners/shops NOT to go to are for.

(Also, it's not very utilized, but the Marketplace also -does- have a rating system. If a seller has a yellow star after their name, you can click on it to see any feedback that has been left.)

(Also, also...this is why there are minimum requirements for posting ads. The Marketplace is for those who are active members of the community and not those just randomly showing up out of nowhere to sell stuff. You should be able to get an idea about a person also based off of their activity elsewhere on the site.)

Most commissioners also run websites. You're not limited to cosplay.com's marketplace to find one to work with. Check out the commissioners review thread ~ most reviews also include a website link if one is available. Find a commissioner or two who you like and try contacting them through their websites.
