Hotels Next to Tampa Convention Center?
What are some good and fairly inexpensive hotels close to the Convention Center in that general area. Hopefully in a 1 - 3 mile radius?

Try using hotels.com or one of those sites. The closest hotels are higher range as far as prices go. ^__^

There's the Howard Johnson Plaza hotel that is 1 mile away for $64 per night - closest and cheapest choice, I think. I don't know if the rates will change, so you might consider getting a room there soon. I found it through hotels.com (maybe it is cheaper, than reserving a room directly with the hotel).
