Short Wig, Long Bangs

Haven't been on here in a while, have a dilemma!

I'm cosplaying a character with long eye-covering bangs, but short spikey hair... Any suggestions on how I should go with this one?

After not finding any short haired wigs with enough bangs to cover my eyes (and I'm unable to pull wigs forward because my hairline is so low in the back), I thought about buying a normal wig and cutting it, then styling the back with spikes.... but I don't know how well this might work, and I haven't enough money to sample it out...

Is there a better way to do this? Even better, would anybody know of a place to get long banged short haired wigs? Long shot, hehe, but you never know...

i know karisu on the crossplay forums altered her dilandau wig by sewing on the long bangs off another wig on the base wig. Here's the pix.

It's a lot easier to cut bangs into a wig than it is to sew them in. Just start with a wig that does not have bangs in the front, part it and comb forward from the place where you want the bangs to start, and cut.
