Misty Goldeen Outfit Help

So I'm making Misty's Goldeen outfit and I'm trying to figure out how to get those fins to curve and fan out the way they do. I figured I'd see if anyone had any idea before I ruin them trying to stuff wire in them or something. Thanks!

I would reckon probably wiring in some kinda of way but i have never really had to make anything that uses wiring to hold stuff up as of the moment.

Hi AlanaOwlet ^_^.

Maybe you could use plastic boning inside the fils to give them some structure so that they "hump" they way you want them to. I also think wire is a good idea too. Perhaps looking at some fairy wing tutorials could be good for inspiration. Good luck!

You could do like historical costuming and wear a bum roll (assuming you're not trying to make this swimmable) so it will provide the S-shape without anything being visible from the underside/front. Bum rolls are quite easy to make and you can decide how much bump you want. The fin material will have to be thick enough to hold its own weight without being so heavy it droops though
