Covering dark hair under a blonde wig?

I have black hair, and I have to wear a wig every day for the next three weeks. (Yes, I'll wash it. Not to worry.) [Don't ask, it's a long story.]

My problem is that some of my dark hair shows on the sides because it's attatched to my head, and my wig is a very light blonde. Is there any way to cover the dark hair that's simple and can be done easily and quickly? I have basically unlimited makeup sources.

are you using a wig cap?

if you have issues with flyaway bits sticking out of a wig cap, use a little hair gel to slick it back before putting the cap on.

Of course i'm using a wig cap. >.<

It's not really flyaways. I have almost what you could call sideburns, but not really. They go lower than my wig cap goes though. They're attatched to my head, so I can't push them up.

I dont know about makeup doing anything for that..
However, wefting should do the trick, i do believe.

Can you gain access to extensions or another wig of the same or similar color? If you can, then just weft them into the wig where you need to cover up the spot. It should generally be a quick fix..
Though if you have to order online it could be a problem..you might have to wait a few days before it comes in, but if you can go a few days without, it should be worth it.

Hope that helps some..

EDIT: ohh, i didnt realize that it was like sideburns...try gelling them up as much as you can? hopefully it will hold...thats all i can generally think of..
sorry.:s

ReEdit: Oh, another idea, i have NO CLUE if it will work though!Dx
Maybe you could try that method people use for coloring their eyebrows with that one part of your hair? You know, with the washable glue and acrylic paint? It might work and i think its worth a shot..maybe.>___>

If not..you could always shave it off...Dx

I have the same kinda-sideburns. Fortunately it's only a problem when I wear dark wigs, because my hair is fairly light, but when that comes up I use mascara to tint those wispy bits. In my case, I use regular eye mascara, but for you I'd recommend hair mascara--unlike eye mascara, it comes in blonde. Google should show you a few places to get some.

EDIT: just found a tutorial on making your own. Don't know how well it works, but it might be worth a go.

Hair mascara...interesting.

My roommate has the sideburn problem...she usually cuts/shaves them if she's going to be wearing light-colored wigs.
