San Japan is San Antonio's big anime con which was last weekend and Ikkicon is Austin's big anime con which is in December.

Well, it's not really big, although it's been around for a few years, there's Yulecon, people have been saying it's been cancelled but nope, it's still alive. Plus there's the Mini A-Kon which as of February 2012 it is now in Denton, but it's a 1 day con and is a free event, but still pretty fun~

Onicon is not doing anything this year and was terrible last year. For anyone who went the moving of the hotel sucked and the artist ally was all kinds of fubar'd >.> So yeah not my best con.

This is about right for sure. The things you get for Volunteering are crash space for working at the con. They do feed you to a certain degree, and you get a free badge. Don't think it's cake walk though. THEY WILL WORK YOU! and you have to work a certain amount of hours before you basically pay off both your crash space and badge (with your work) so yeah prepare. But its not all bad so no worries but it is harder to enjoy the con that way.

This stuff looks awesome! Thanks for showing us this, I was gonna go but not enough on budget(I think I already said that several posts ago. xD) I'm curious if anyone took videos/photos of the Poke Battle Live event, that's one event I'd like to have seen. One thing I already saw was the LittleKuriboh, Egoraptor and the other members of something(I dunno the name xD) reading Aladdin, that was hilarious. xD

I love AM. Im thinking for the upcoming year I should sign up for the walk on. I'll try to finished one of the cosplay In time for that. Oni-con been going down for the past few years and I know there be one this year. Hopefully this year it be ok.
