I'm in Houston, TX! Not exactly in the city, though - I live out in the Willowbrook area. :] I'm still fairly new to cosplay, and I haven't done much mostly because the parental units are very DO NOT WANT about the entire thing, but that's not stopping me. For the most part. xD

Yes, it seems that the parents either support it or don't. xD My mother is glad that I now have an artistic outlet now, but I think she worries about the cosplay that I have chosen...

And my father cannot stand it. He thinks I'm wasting my hard earned money on it. Lol. I am not! It's well worth it!

Yep! I'm a Houston cosplayer. I really only go to A-Kon, though, and only for the past two years. I was the random female Edward Scissorhands last year, if that helps anyone.

I was running around last A-kon as Seung Mina. Yay for hald naked woman running around with large halberds. x3 And I think I took a picture of you. :x

well,it's been a while since i checked out this tread,is there any new cosplayers in my area(cleburne to fort worth)?

and what and when is the next big con for the dallas fort worth area?

Well, Yule Con, but I dunno if it's big or not. The big one coming up that I think of is A-kon.

Yule-Con's not very big, I'm posting from it right now. XD Its a nice little con though, and the Christmas theme makes it interesting.

As for the next DFW con, All-Con is up next. It is not however solely an anime convention, its a blend of everything. Anime is a very small part of All-Con, but if you're into anything else, comics, Star Wars, fantasy etc, its worth a look for at least a day. Its personally my favorite convention, but I am a Star Wars fanatic. ^^

The next con after All-Con is A-kon.

Its pretty small, I couldn't give an exact attendence, but the convention is only on one floor Very close knit, and there are some really awesome costumes that people bring.
