Men's jeans
I tried on mens jeans today for my costume of Young Phoenix Wright from the Ace Attorney series, but I'm having some trouble. The waist band is always too tight and the thighs are always too loose. Is there any way to get a balance (wearing them a certain way, etc) without making them look stupid? If I wear them any lower, the crotch is really low and it looks kind of ridiculous. I was considering just wearing my normal girl jeans, but lower on my hips, and praying his sweater covers my hips, but...
Any advice? |

The crotch of guy's jeans is supposed to be pretty low... It takes a little getting used to, if you've never worn them before.
If you really feel like they look funny, though, I'd recommend trying on some different styles, perhaps at a store with more selection. Also, I'd definitely take a guy friend along, if there's someone you feel comfortable with, and ask his opinion. That's the best advice I can give you, really. I know it isn't much, but I hope that it's at least a bit helpful to you. Good luck on your cosplay!! |

Well, I'll give you a bit of advice, this is what my mother's friend did back in the 70's. She would buy the jeans and then put them in a big pot of boiling water. My mother just wash it in hot water and throw it in the dryer.
My mom also tells me that different jeans have different cuts. Lei makes theirs a bit bigger in the butt area and more narrow...you have to look at different brands of jeans in addition to the size.

men's jeans are supposed to be lose around the thighs. try finding a pair that fits around the hips, most guys will wear theirs there (...or even lower lol).

Low-rise men's jeans may work a little better, and I've found them in plenty of places. (Until recently I usually wore nothing but men's pants/jeans....and yeah, the cut difference does take some getting used to. I always found it way more comfortable than women's jeans, personally, since I have huge thighs.)

Really, the part in between the legs is like.. having an empty void down there? >> Takes some time to get used to, but other than that, generally more roomy and comfortable unless you're getting skinnies. I always find there's extra room between my leg and the material (I wear semi-skinnies).

LOL that's because there's not supposed to be an empty void there. That's where your junk goes. If you're a man :'D Which I personally am not(why'd I feel tempted to add "unfortunately"!?). But this stuff is good to know since I'm gonna be shopping for man jeans in the next couple days ^^
