Chouji Akimichi's Armor

I'm cosplaying as Akimichi Chouji from the shippuden series and need help on choosing the right type of paint to apply on armor im making. Im using wonderflex for the base, then adding a layer of friendly plastic to make it nice and smooth, but now im stuck with the decision of choosing a paint to make it look like armor. Problem being, i've never bought paint before and im not sure what color/brand i should use >->. Can anyone help me? I need to get this done in 1 week >_<

spray paint it first
with krylon's plastic paint (it adheres to plastic well)

then hand paint it for the realistic metal look.

there are tons of tutorials on this site for metallic props and painting them. use the search function! you could also try searching tutorials on deviantart.com (i've seen quite a few)
