Yellow Thigh High Boots Help

I searched this forum and didn't find anything.

I'm looking for yellow patent leather thigh high boots like Dr. Mrs. The Monarch wears in Venture Bros. I wanna try to find some first before resorting to boot covers. I've seen them before but I don't know where to find them. They can be platform or not I don't mind, but would prefer just the stiletto kind like pictured here:

I tried to find out where he got them but I never got a response.

Update: I found 2 pairs on ebay from one girl but they're both $200 for one pair, she had them made custom from leather works london.
I don't wanna spend that much X.X So even if you have a really good thigh high boot cover tutorial using pleather please post it. Thank you.

I actually just found this on DA this morning, hope it can help, you can apply it to what you need I think. Or at least it's a good start to alter with

Try this web-site : http://www.snaz75.com/boots-thigh-high.html

It might be my browser, but I'm having trouble with the pictures right now. I *think* you might want this one : http://www.snaz75.com/pl-lust-3000.html Not yellow, but you could make them that way.

However, you might also search for "vintage" boots - the 80s had a lot of "lower" heeled thigh-high boots, as opposed to the ones today that 4" heels are at the lower end of the scale.

On a similar note...

I'm actually looking to do The Monarch, so I too need thigh high yellow boots (minus the stilettos). Of course, the problem is I'm 6'4" and need size 13 shoes...

I'm assuming what I'm going to have to do is adapt a pair of, say, cowboy boots and make the rest out of some vinyl or pleather or something. I want them to look as much like real boots as possible, so I may end up practically making actual boots.

I've never done anything like this - suggestions, or ideas of any kind? I'm totally shooting from the hip here.

I've been looking for yellow thigh high boots myself for Mrs Monarch costume and I finally found a pair at

Unfortunately they're $86, which is too much for me.

I've seen a few thigh high boot cover made from PVC fabric so it is do-able with a front and back seam.

maybe http://www.3wishes.com/boots.asp ?

There's a yellow pair but they are only knee high, and there's thigh highs in other colors. Maybe you can paint/dye somehow?

Boot covers are as good as you make them For my Slave Leia boots I pretty much remade them from the rigid bits up by making sure I hid all the raw edges between the sole and foot support (so I used knife and solvent to partially pull apart my boot.

I am making thigh high Mystique boots at the moment and they have side seams and back seam only and I am carefully pulling and gluing the front to have it lie smooth against my ankle.

it is as simple as pinning fabric around your leg to fit and then using that pattern to make covers. I do recommend making them so they cover the entire foot and you use glue and sewing to secure it in place. The type of glue you use is dependant on what materials you use. Some solvents will affect how the PVC looks- it can distort. If you use a heavy enough vinyl (liek I am using for my boots) it is less of a concern due to the barrier between solvent and plastic.
