Because of Catherine, /v/ is currently a hilarious, autistic shitfest. Never before has it been so obvious that someone hasn't even played a demo for a game. They make the "GLORIOUS NIPPON IS SUPERIOR, UGUU" idiots look good. The weeaboo crowd is for once well-composed, while the "WEST IS BEST" haters have essentially become a reverse damage control, unwilling to accept that Catherine is quite possibly one of the best games released this year. Seriously, check out /v/ sometime soon for a good laugh. The sheer amount of MAD, all because some people enjoy video games, is in full force with Catherine general threads.

I went to an video game exhibit at MoMA last night with an open bar, and got to play several indy games very drunk. "Bit. Trip Runner" is a ton better with half-a-dozen beers in ya.

Sometimes I miss not living in New York anymore. Between this and the Asian society game release parties, the scene is so much more vibrant than it is here.

Did they have any of the Summer of Arcade stuff there?

No, mostly 2010/2009 releases. Nothing from this year.

The Asain Society parties have slowed down over the years sadly over the last 2/3 years. I can't even remember the last big one.

We went to the capcom/ Sengoku Basara party last winter, which was pretty cool. We all got free copies of the game. I have not opened mine yet.

Seriously thinking of making the bit festival trip this year.

Jokes aside, I'm terrible at puzzle games, so even Catherine's Easy mode gave me a lot of trouble. But I persisted and finally finished it at like, 2am today. I answered all of the questions honestly and got Katherine's good ending. Feels good bro.

I'm going to try playing on Very Easy mode from now on. I facepalm every time I see Catherine (the character), but I'm going to have to bear her if I want to get all of the endings.

Pretty much this. The big boys are going to be playing Battlefield 3, while the kiddies will be playing Call of Derp: Modern Warfail 3. Can't wait.

The Babel mode in Catherine both seems strangely appealing and immensely frustating.

Nothing like climbing a few steps short of victory just to realize you're screwed.
