Rent-a-Wig?

My friend wants to know...

Is there any Rent-a-Wig shops in San Diego?
Like, clean wigs that are cheaper to rent for a day than buying one?

Thanks~~

....I've never heard of any place renting wigs, they're to hard to maintain and to many health risks that can arise. Plus its extremely unlikely you'd be able to find a wig exactly for a character.

Just save up for a wig, once you have enough posts you can use the marketplace to find cheaper wigs or resell wigs later on to make money back to spent on them.

I doubt there are many places anywhere that will rent you wigs. I'm not even really sure if the rental costume shop in my home town rents their wigs.

Most companies who sell wigs have an "all sales are final" policy for hygenic reasons. Frankly, the idea of wearing a wig that someone else wore and potentially sweat in (and god knows what else is in their hair/on their head) squicks me.

I know none of mine would.

People don't rent wigs; it's pretty much on the same level as "people don't rent panties."

It's actually rather insanity to rent wigs out considering lice and such.

Doesn't the state of California even have a health policy that prohibits returns on wig sales?

Aside from the legal and health issues, I too doubt that a costume shop would rent out wigs. Self-employed costume designers / stylists or theaters might do that, however, if you knew them personally or booked them for a special event or something.
