Selphie Costume help?

I know there are people who have cosplayed Selphie.. soo. Does anyone have any good advice on how to flip her hair, what I can get or make for Selphie's odd zipper seashell-esque thing and what type of 'paint' I could use to color my black zipper silverish grey due to the fact I made a mistake and now need to paint it silver.. Thats about it. I'd sell you my soul if you replied? :x

You can flip your hair by using a round brush to roll the ends outward as you blow-dry.

Why can't you replace your black zipper with a silver one? I would think paint would be likely to wear off with use.

You could try a curling iron and lots of hairspray for the hair. If you've never flipped your hair out like that, why not ask a friend to help? ^^

As for the zipper, I don't know if any paint would really work on it, since you would need a very thin coating that would still allow the zipper to be workable, right? You could always try something like spraypaint since you can kind of control how much paint you use... but it might still cause the zipper to get stuck permanently.

my girlfriend cosplayed as selphie last year. the hairdresser put a lot of hairpray on her hair while she (hairstylist) combs her hair with round brush... rotating it to the direction of the selphie's hair on each spray.

i suggest you just change the zipper. coloring it would be messy.

What type of material is used for her costume....if you look it seems that the fabric is ribbed? Has anyone tried courderoy and if so is it hard to sew with?
