Aww a Renee cosplay? She's a cute character, good luck with the cosplay! ^^ I know that if you pre-ordered HM Island of Happiness back in the day, you'd get a free chicken plushie with it... Who knows? Maybe those chicken plushies are still around somewhere... I wish I could have got one. :P

Ooh I almost forgot about that. Thank you! And thanks for the sweet wishes, I hope I'll be able to pull it off well. I like her spring/summer outfit a bit more than her fall/winter one.

I have that chicken plushie, I also got the cow and sheep plushies for preordering different HM games in the past.

UWAAAH!! LUCKY!!! ;_; I only have the doggie from when I pre-ordered ANWL. I was supposed to get the chicken plushie cuz I pre-ordered island of happiness, but EB games never gave it to me...

*sobs* It sucks cause I adore chickens, plus I work with them in real life.

Ahem, anyway... I still haven't found material similar to Lumina's dress yet, I'm really hoping that tomorrow I'll be able to make a trip to the fabric store and look around.

I REALLY want to finish that cosplay! Then I can check it off my list lol.

Oh! @Shichosama! You should get a little toy fishing pole and coordinate it to your outfit. Find yo-self some water and voila! Cutest pics ever. They'd be even cuter if you could get someone to cosplay as Toby. XD

And now...update on mah Weezard cosplay. Now...I'm REAL pale and don't necessarily want to go out and buy a bunch of Ben Nye just for one cosplay. I'd rather use drugstore brands because, let's face it, I'm a poor-ass college kid.
But I'm wondering if I can even get good coverage with brands like CoverGirl and Maybelline.

I will, of course, invest in a good primer (I love the "super-smooth-skin" look). But do you think the pigment in drugstore brand foundation and concealer will be intense enough to take my super-pale skin two shades darker (which is about as dark as anyone can go while still looking natural.)
I'll also be getting some bronzer and highlighter or illuminator to help with contouring. Not only am I going darker for this cosplay...but I'm going to have to visually change sexes for this cosplay. Gah.

Any thoughts?

Alrighty! I DID manage to find Lumina's fabric on her dress on Saturday and I quickly made her dress! The cosplay's done now!

(Yeeessss!) I've got the costume and a few pics of it uploaded here last night. Now I'm getting the itch to make another cosplay from HM, just because they seem easier to make than all my Final Fantasy cosplays lol. xD

Thank you for the comment before too... I think doing that cosplay really helped improved my sewing skills. *DING!* YAY! I LEVELED UP!!! xD lol sorry, I think I've been playing too much RPG's lately... xP

I'm also thinking of possibly doing Lanna from HM Island of Happiness next... I love her dress! But maybe I'll do that cosplay once I keep improving with my sewing skills. I'm also strongly thinking about doing a Claire cosplay, heroine from MFOMT. It'll be super easy, that's for sure!

Perhaps I could just buy everything for that costume? I'd love to cosplay as her next.

It's PERFECT! Defiantly adorable ^_~ It looks just like the main characters hair. Did you have to style it like that, or did you just so happened to find a wig that looks exactly like hers?

Thanks! Yeah...it's a human hair wig, so I was able to use my straightener on it. It was originally a Katie Holmes-ish shag.
