Pokemon Costume? Help?

Just wondering how everyone is going about their pokemon costumes and I dont mean Gary, Ash, etc. Im talking the actual pokemon.

Like are you making the actual pokemon (like full body suit)? Or someone that resembles the pokemon?

Im most likely going as Skitty to Youmacom, MI this year and depending on how it goes I may either ask someone to make it for me or make it myself.

Just wondering how everyone is going about there pokemon adventures and if they can share some tips with me! Happy cosplaying!

i think it would be cool to do a mascot style costume! i saw people at comic con with just hats, shirts and body paint, but a mascot costume pokemon would be great

I've done both - although the mascot was a digimon lol :P Both were fun to wear for different reasons.

Mascot - more time but more proud of the results, somewhat restrictive

GInjka - much cuter, easy, cheap and fun and easy to run around in.

I guess it really depends on what you want it for and what you like better :P Personally having done both I'd be making a ginjka for my next one instead of a mascot just because i could go around and actually go to some of the events at the anime convention :P

Good luck

I'm actually wondering the same thing. I love cosplaying pokemon, and, for easiness and other such things, gijinka are alot easier, but I was wondering if anyone had tips for making the giant, cool mascot-thingies, or the name of a site where one could buy one for a reasonable price.

Thankies!
