Thanks Trauma. Really appreciate it. I know you pain with plexi. I love and hate that crap. Some of the worst cuts I've gotten have been plexi cuts.
I'm working on the collar piece now for my wife's Eleanor and we're making the basic stencil out of poster board, and while she was trying it on she said "I look like I'm e
wearing a bib". So i drew a lobster on it and told her she was good to go

I wonder if I shouldn't give Delta a gun? Hmmm, it would be easier and less stressful than a drill. Hmm, something I will keep in mind.
Thanks CB. I'm trying.

I originally wanted to make the plasma gun from Minerva's Den, but went with the drill for some reason I can't even remember.

Lobster bib?

If you can write up a tutorial, please do. I'm always interested in seeing how other people work, solve problems, etc. I love ripping off others' ideas either directly or mixing them in with mine

Of course when I do this, I always give proper credit.

Just went through your pictures. AWESOME! Wish I had thought to use clay over the mache for the detailed areas (idea/method rip off coming soon)
Keep up the great work. It just still amazes me that a game as unknew as Bioshock still has such loyal fans. This is just great.

I actually got a lot more work on the "lobster bib" done this afternoon during a conference call. No one said anything about hearing the sound of cutting and snapping of foam HA! It should be ready for mache by this weekend.

Just put the last piece on the lobster bib. Wait for glue to dry, a little trimming and it will be ready for mache tomorrow. ahh...feels good to make progress.
Although now that everyone has been calling it the lobster bib, I will have to paint a lobster on the final somewhere, just to keep the gag alive.
Now, off to work on some splicer hooks.

Well I cast the what I pray will be a working mold tomorrow and this weekend. Once I have a mold I will upload the images I have taken. It's funny, once I sealed the clay for the molding process I looked back at the old Delta mold and I wanted to go back and work on the new one even more.

I wonder if this is how most artist feel? The sense you were have force your tools away and say it must be finished. Man once I have the mask in my hands I will be one VERY happy camper.

@CB - YES. That is how most feel. I know I've had to be pulled away many times. In college, if it wasn't for the deadline and having to stop working, I would have worked pieces to death. When to stop is one of the hardest lessons to learn with art, and well just about anything in life actually.

This is always the part that I love and hate with costuming. You get that great idea, then figure out how to take it into the real world, get stuck, get unstuck, zoom ahead, then just run out of energy and want nothing to do with it. Get over it, and go again. Rinse, wash, repeat.
That's why I try to have several projects running all at the same time. Step away from one and into another. Then I can come back ready to go again. Plus, I never seem to pick easy projects. I might be masochistic too though.
