Putting on Underworks Tri-Top Chest Binder?

Holy crap, I got that thing in the mail today and I can't even get it over my head! I ordered an XS, which I got by adding the size of my bust plus the underbust and dividing by 2. Does anyone have an tips for getting this thing on without getting stuck in it? D:

Something that doesn't go over your head is bound to be uncomfortable. Really uncomfortable. I've tried getting an XS on me ( well, I don't really need a binding thing in the first place 'cause I have small B cups ), and I walked around in the convention with that. I nearly died of heat and exhaustion, because anything too tight really cuts off your air circulation and compresses your ribs and internal organs that are necessary for respiration. If it doesn't fit over your head, it's probably not a good idea to keep it on ...

But if you insist on finding a way to put it on, I would suggest making a small cut near the collar down towards the chest so it's easier to part. I've tried it before, and it's effective as long as you don't cut the entire thing.

Again ... I wouldn't recommend something that you can't even get out of. For easiest removal, I always use stomach holders.

Would you have to take a bigger size by just using your bust-size?

That's what I was using as meassurement and passed on to my friends to help them choosing theirs.

If usually should be easy to put your arms into the holes and pull over your head. After that many have encountered problems with it, as it bunches up.
Try to roll it out if that's the case and tug it down on the back first, then over the breasts.

If DO have problems with getting even as far as getting it over your head, you might want to check your bust size ONLY and say that you accidentally ordered the wrong size and if you could exchange it for the bigger size.

You might be lucky and they'll exchange it for free, but most likely you will be asked to pay porto of the return and the sending of the new one, as well as the difference it the bigger size is more expensive.
In the worst case they won't exchange it, but I kinda doubt that.
If that happens you can always mention it to your cosplay friends that you are selling it if it would fit any of them or put up a note here. You'll probably have to offer it for cheaper if you do so.

Good luck

EDIT: If they don't exchange it, you could try washing it carefully in warm water, it might stretch a bit more. Or, if you have a chair or something in practical size where you can put it over to stretch, that might also work.

I wouldn't recommend on doing it thought, if you have the chance at exchanging it. It's meant to stretch while you breath after all and if you have to stretch it beforehand to get it on in the first place...
Well, it's bound to cause problems.

Hmm, yeah. The only problem's that I opened the packaging, and it says it has to have the original packaging so... I don't know if that counts. There's always Ebay, I guess. Thanks guys!

Underworks... their CS makes me want to bang my head in. I did return my compression shirts for the same reason with the original packaging opened and asked for a size up and never got a new one in the mail after 2 months. >_> So I ordered another set in a size up along with a bra.

My package came with 4 compression skirts all in the same size and no bra. >_< I did get ripped off but at that point I was too PO'd with the CS to bother making a complaint.

I ended up selling the extra ones in the Marketplace here.

The sizing of their compression shirts is iffy so go with a size up if your not sure.

To get it on is a hassle even with the size up over the shoulders but a quick and dirty way is to pull it up over your hips by the arm straps. Your hips are just a bit smaller than your shoulders.

I really like the Tri-Top Chest Binder over their standard compression shirt since it focuses the compression on your chest only.

My Cup size is B (But my bust is big because I'm a big boned girl lol) It does a good job of smoothing me out without it being to uncomfortable.

I'm thinking about just returning it, period, if I can. I'm just a size 34B and I can probably get away with a sports bra. Now that they mention it I'm sure it won't help with my heat issues/comfortability in my cosplays. Plus, the neckline would probably show in a couple of them.
My hips are huge compared to the rest of my body XD So that probably wouldn't work for me.
You said you returned it even though the package was open?

I ended up exchanging mine for a size up and had no problems with it. I did open the package to try it on, but when I returned it, I just put it back in the plastic bag it came in and taped it up. Underworks sent me a new one in the right size in less than a week :3
