What do your friends think about cosplaying?
Not a lot of my friends cosplay but they think it's cool. One of my "friends" (I don't talk to this person anymore) told me one day that coslaying is idiotic and I can't cosplay because I'm short. (Around 5.1). She even told me one time that I can't cosplay as guy characters because I'm a girl. (I'm pretty sure she doesn't know what crossplaying is). So, what do your friends think about cosplaying?

well most of my friends aren't into anime or cosplaying, though they do love video games. so they are indifferent. they don't really go "omg thats weird" but they dont go "that is so cool". the only one that does kinda care is my boyfriend, although i think he listens to my cosplay rants to be nice. but at least he listens.
someday i hope to get friends that actually cosplay with me

Whaat?? How on earth could you be 'too short' to cosplay Ed?? Lol. Isn't that a bit ironic?? W/e. My friends cosplay with me. :3 I'm going as Axel and I've got two of my friends going as Roxas. xD I'm quite the pimp. Most of my friends think my Tao costume is going to be amazing with the glowing eyes and whatnot and they all like watching me sew, which makes me distracted. Lol. Actually, tomorrow we're all getting together to work on our costumes together and share materials. To put it short: My friends be ballin'. |

My friends are all cosplayers too. Lol. And my boyfriend'll be starting soon. So, yeah, they think exactly the same as me for cosplaying; "YAY!"

my friends are cool with it xD
my school friends like cosplay but their not very serious about it, just kinda lightly enjoy it (sometimes they remind me of the cat girl type, cept they wear charzard wings instead) they dont tell me not to do it, they think I'm crazy with some of my plans but its not like theyll tell me im looking like an idiot. now my cosplay friends, good lord are they a bad influence on me xD I always get talked into doing costumes with them or being in their group, if it wasnt for them I might have a bit more free time :3 |

most of my friends think it's nerdy, it's stupid, it's a waste of money. -_-; That's why it's usually a pain in the ass for me to find someone to cosplay with.

The only ones that like it and do it are friends I've made at conventions. Everyone else either has never heard of it or can't stand it and cosplayers.

My best friend kind of does it because I do. She'll go with me to cons and dress up, but she's not super into anime or the like. I have a couple friends who think it's really cool, but for the most part all my other friends are kind of indifferent about it.

its half and half for me...
Some friends are ok with it and go to cons with me while my other friends aren't really into it or don't like it at all.

Actually, they think I'm pretty weird. "It's nowhere near Halloween so why do you dress up?" or "Aren't you a little old to dress up like that?" Ha ha. You're very clever.
 Although, there's three friends of mine that think it's pretty cool and I'm trying desperately to get them to join me. hahaha

My friends are pretty cool with it.I've actually convinced one of my friends to cosplay with me and now she's working on her third costume. Another friend has agreed to cosplay with me so hopefully I'll have another convert soon

First off, HEIGHT DOESN'T MATTER! My goodness.
Anypoo, most of my friends cosplay too. So it is pretty grand! I do have some friends who don't cosplay or know what it is, and that is totally fine - they are indifferent about it if they do find out, plus I don't bring it up as a topic. I only ever talk about it if they ask lol

Most of my friends aren't into anime or manga, so they kind of look at me odd when I mention conventions and cosplaying. Actually, the only friend of mine who isn't into anime that knows I crossplayed for my first convention is my roommate here at college, and that's 'cause she wanted to see my costume (I had to explain Sai (Naruto) to her). She thought my costume and conventions were nerdy, but she didn't bash it either.

my non cosplaying, non anime loving friends gave me a weird look after i told them i dress up as anime characters. then they asked me if i was going to make a cosplay porno.
such lovely friends i have~ OTL
