Central FLA cosplay beach day Nov 21 2009
Baka Rose Cosplay is hosting a beach cosplay day at New Smyrna beach from 11am until approx. 2pm on Saturday Nov 21!
We have one experienced photographer who has already committed to the event, and another who will probably attend as well.
Come in a costume you'd love to get beach shots in, either a swimsuit cosplay or a regular costume that suits the beach.
Bring a picnic lunch or if anyone is interested, we can plan a pot-luck.
Come on out-- It'll be a Splash!

oh wow, i'd love to do that. i've been wanting to join in on something like this for a long time, but that would be about a two hour drive for me (i think). money's tight right now, but i'll definately give it some consideration. i would say, more than likely, i'll make it. ^^
i got a friend who's very into cosplay and such, but he probably wouldn't have a cosplay for the beach, or any cosplay remotely comfortable to wear at an outing like this. could he still come anyway?

Yeah-- everyone's welcome-- the more the merrier. I'll be doing a swimsuit cosplay (Serena/Usagi's green suit with the sunflowers), so I'll be in the water, but feel free to bring a normal suit so you can play after you get the shots you want. The goal here is to get together and have fun!!

@benihime - That would be great ^_^ I'll definately try to make it. I rarely ever get to hang out with ppl I meet at conventions OUTSIDE of conventions.
Well I'll probably wanna play in the water, but I've never made a swimsuit before, and something tells me if I did, it wouldn't last in the water very long, so I'll probably hafta be a cheapskate and just customize one from a store. It'll probably be a Toadette swimsuit, with the huge hat and everything. XDD Knowing me, I'll change my mind at the last minute and do something else, but for the meantime, that's what I have in mind.
How many people are gonna show up? And is the photographer registered on here?

I live in NSB as well, really would love to join in on the fun. Any info. on the photographers?
As for cosplay, I can wear my Yoshika Miyafuji costume since it's beachy, and I can just wear the swim suit on it's own if I want to play in the water =)

EDIT:: I am definitely going to this! I have been wanting photos of my Yoshika cosplay on the beach but it's been too hot out and I hate being the only one in costume when I go out for a shoot.
Will more information be provided as to the exact location/beach this will be at? Preferable an address/inersection =)

Same. I'm leaning towards Tinkerbell since it's a costume that I can wade in at least. But then again, I live so close to the beach, so it doesn't matter whether I play in the water or not. A Toadett swimsuit sounds cute!
Aaaaand.....do you think that we should make a list of who's bringing what foods? Just so we all know what we can choose from and to make sure that we don't have like five people bringing the same thing?

The 21st, eh? I'll be in Jax by then, but I'll see what I can do about setting aside some time to venture out that way. I'm not sure if I'll be cosplaying anything this time; however, I'll be bringing my camera to take pics.

Tinkerbell! Yaaay! That's gonna look so cute on the beach :3 Any children at the beach would be all over you. XDD
My costume is just about done; i'm trying to work out a skirt of some kind. I ain't pretty in a bikini bottom. I'm also gonna be bringing my video camera (of course) so I plan on making a video of this. This is gonna be so fun! X3
Well, if everyone's gonna bring stuff for a big pot-luck, there's gotta be sodas, chips, and maybe dessert-like treats. Someone(s) can be a sport a bring pizzas. Anyone wanna choose first?

What's your costume going to be?
Oh, video n.n that should be fun! Should wmaybe bring games to play or do we think we'll be busy enough?
As for foods, Hm... I could possibly get a case of water and maybe some big bags of chips. Do we yet know roughly how many people are going as of right now? I think that may help with figuring out what and how much of food stuffs to bring.
Also, any word on which beach we'll be at?

I don't know if I'm a certainty yet, but I can try and bring a handful of pizzas if I do come. They will be a mixture of cheese and pepperoni, though. And yes, knowing which beach would make things easier.
