Hey there, newbie here. ^^; I'm trying to get into creating cosplay outfits, and a friend from school recommended this site.
I've been pondering how to create a pattern for one of my own characters, but I've gotten stuck.

This is what the outfit looks like. The pants, butterfly sidings, book&chain... are easy, I can do them without a problem. The only thing that's getting me is that dang jacket and shirt.
The boots won't really be a problem though, I've seen tutorials up for doing the little tops.
Anyone have any tips? I'd really appreciate it!
