Unfortunantly, I don't have the extra time or money to make another costume for the Folio since our Historical entry is so involved so I'll just have to settle for looking at all of yours.

The only other contest we're entering for certain is the Doll Show and that's only because we have scraps of fabric on hand that might work for the actual outfit involved. The rest of our costumes for CC that are not already done are in various stages at the moment as we concentrate on our Historical Maquerade entry. None of them are as involved as that one so I think everything should be done in time for the convention providing we have enough funds for fabric and other materials.

Construction on our Historical entry is coming along nicely. We've already finished several accessories with more to be done shortly and undergarments are ready to be cut and made. At the moment I think we are pretty much on schedule with these costumes so far. Hopefully we will remain on schedule the whole time and get them done early.

it's that time of year, Nora, I feel uninspired a lot too. I forced myself to start on my SF&F entry though...the embellishment demanded it.

I'll be doing my usual next week - I take off between Christmas & New Year & dig into the junk in the basement, organizing things for the years upcoming projects. Sort of like forcing inspiration to come!

I'm not really overly motivated myself at the moment. I just know that if it doesn't get started then it'll end up like Archon a few years ago when we were trying to finish multiple parts of the costumes involved the night before the masquerade. Since there is a lot of embellishing and other things involved with this costume I don't want to leave it to the last minute this time or there won't be time to fix things that might go wrong.

cause last year i had a lot of trouble finishing just the single pattern (took for ever just that one =_=) so had less time for the other costume =_=

this year i wanna be even with my other costume too so hope they send info soon aniting would work hehe!!

I've been unmotivated to costume since Bishie Con. It took so much out of me to put all of that work into our Archon costumes just to turn around and make the Wonderland costumes for Bishie Con (and run Bishie Con, mustn't forget that), that I haven't done anything but cut out some pieces and start on a diagram for my first mascot costume (for Naka-Kon in February, not Costume-Con). I did make a pair of pajama pants for one of my friends and replaced a zipper on one of my vintage dresses to wear for Christmas, but I'm still beat.

This week, I just got a kind of burst of motivation... but it wasn't to make costumes. It was to write fanfiction. Go figure. I'm starting to feel the costuming bug coming on as I work on the mascot diagram. If I can get through Kawa Kon, I'll have all of the month-and-a-half after that to make my F&SF costume. I've done the hard part, which is figuring out HOW to make it.

RaDragon and I have made progress on our Historical entry the last couple of days and hopefully this extended weekend will yield more progress. I think things are right on schedule for getting this done in time.

And we've been working on our doll contest entry as well. First time entering that.
