I love those details. I don't think I've seen a chain axe with that design before, and certainly not in real life. You've been added to the list of costumes in the second post.

Once I have a little more photographed I have another 2 to add to the list me and a bud are making an Apothecary and a Tech Marine, I'm currently in the process of priming the chest and one of the shoulders, smoothing out the 2nd shoulder and shaping the other pieces
and waiting for my helmet to arrive, I modeled it and someone is casting it for me great stuff, BTW any of you WH40k people planning on doing DragonCon '10 this is where me and my apothecary will be unveiling ours and would love for a bigger 40k group

I tried to assemble WH40K people at Dragon*Con 2009, but was unable to attract attention online. I saw a few Guardmen and Techpriests, but we wore our costumes and different times and never got together.

At Sakura-Con I found a Techpriest, who says she plans to add on to the costume over time until she has a full exo-skeleton, which is a cool way to go about it. Reportedly her fiance was also around in a matching outfit, but I didn't find him.

Hi Guys.

Anyone going to Sept's Gamesday in costume this year? Hoping to be a classic Stormtrooper.

Got the S-10 Mask as a start and a idea for the vest. Only question is props...I'd like a plasma pistol and bolter with surveyor like the classic sargeant model but Id be happy with just a classic hellgun ^^

Sorry to edit but I was wondering if I could get some help with the vest the classic stormies wear. I have one lined up and aren't really adept at making my own.

Any idea?

you know, I actually just started playing this table top gamming... my first battle was.. Thursday, and believe it or not, I actually one my first match.

My friend bought me my book. I am an Eldar... maybe someday I can cosplay as one of the armies from it.

I never knew how much fun it was!

For Eldar, it would be either form fitting body armour, and robes. They do look awesome I must admit. And would love to see some more Eldar cosplay.

Ok so I'm attending brisbane's supernova convention in 2011, and I've chosen to cosplay a krieg lieutenant.

as a result I've started getting materials together to build and create the pieces I need fir this but I need a hand with some things.

first off this is what I have:

plastic replica of a German m42 ww2issue helmet
isreali civilian issue gas mask (surprisingly comfortable)
black general purpose boots (GP boots ftw)*
about 30ft of one inch wide canvas strips for the leg wrappings
four inch diameter PVC pipe*

what I need is an accurate pic of the standard krieg issue las rifle that's not of the miniatures if possible of just the rifle itself if possible.*

and a reasonable place to find great coat patterns as I'm going to make my own as the krieg coat is longer. I plan to use a stiffer but thinner fabric than wool not only for the look but also because April is summer in Australia and heat stroke sucks lol

for the gas mask I plan to sheath it in leather or something similar to give it the length I need and to allow me to add the fitting I need without ruining the mask if I need to get rid of it at a later date as such I need about a foot and a half of the rubber hosing in a khaki or similar colour but as to date the only place I hound online that sells that length is some bdsm website and their shiner latex so failing finding the right hose any advice for painting the kinky hose to fit in?*
