You could probably get away with the coat by buying one that would easily suit the criteria. You could of course add things on top of that (i.e pins/insignia etc). Though coats are out of season atm so you'd probably need to look online for that.

Hello,
I am working on a sister of battle costume (with evazote/foam), but I'm having issues with my leg armor pattern. I wanted to try pepakura to get a flat paper version of it, but I never used this program... and I can't seem to understand how it works. Can someone help me, either with my pattern or with how to use pepakura, please ? Here is the costume I'm working on : http://img152.imageshack.us/img152/5...oness048lb.jpg http://media.photobucket.com/image/r...riedric_10.jpg The part that is problematic for me is the black armor on the calf. Thanks in advance ![]()

Well I've never used this program and I wondered if it's possible to open a 2D image file and then work with it or if I have to use a 3D model ? Because I don't have a 3D model/view of my canoness.

Ahhh I just reread your post and I'm sorry. To answer your question for pepakura you need to use a 3D model. But to make a template like what you're looking for is one that is also unfolded so you can see the flat pieces and print them out. The issue I'm having is I'm having a hell of a hard time finding any Sister of Battle armor in pep. I've seen plenty of the Space Marine armor in pep drifting around but not that. Sorry...I'll keep looking if I can find any unless you think you can use the Space Marine as a guide and modify it.

Pepakura: http://www.tamasoft.co.jp/pepakura-en/ Pepakura Imperial Guard Armor: Pepakura US Colonial Marine armor files. While not necessarily Imperial Guard armor. IG armor is based off of USCM armor, and it looks just very similar to it. http://www.thereplicapropforum.com/a...124d1328364348 Examples of how to use it: [url]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c51gUa8VW-k&feature=list_related&pl An example of the results: http://t0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcTq5gZQAJ_RPXoPCGxUA_QpC5TlmQuYr mV0b3f2h17S9nNA4YRT9wfyX6XMPw

Any advice?
So I've been interested in cosplay for a few years, but life got in the way. But now that I can finally start, this is what I'm planning on doing. I like the look of this Inquisitor, and I think even a fat guy (like me) can pull it off easily.
my question is Is there any advice on places to get materials, would I be better off buying pieces or learning to sew, etc...and good places to shop. Thanks for any input. |
