I want to do a impressive cosplay, but who should I cosplay as?

Hello

I do costume design at college and we have been given a new assessment to make any costume we want. I want to make a cosplay for it! However I don't want to make a simple one because we are going to be having till May to finish this assessment. So I need some ideas of what cosplays I could make and I don't mind what anime/game/manga it's from, aslong as its not too revealing and I can get it done within the time given.

I want it to be impressive too so that I can get a good grade

Thank you for your time

Yano - The first one looks really cool! I'll add it to the list however the link doesn't work for the second one.

Hugginsseller - I like them but it involves making armor of some sort and I fail epically at making armor!

Anyone else got anymore ideas?

All of Chii's clothes are very pretty

Zhang He

Braska

Turandot ok this doesn't really count as cosplay sjfnea There's no real canon for it; I just thought Turandot would be an epic costume.

the Soul Linker costume design is one of my faves from RO. And you can pretty much make it any colors you want.

I second the Yuko notion, and also would like to add Mana Khemia, which has a lot of detail in the clothing. Example

Something from "Mononoke" or "Gankutsuou" with an attempt at accurate patternwork.

ANYTHING from Tsukiji Ano's "Adekan" series.

most noteably ~
the umbrella seller
neko-onna (with the butterfly hands)
ANY of the women's dresses

Adekan also has the advantage of being almost completely unknown (but amazingly gorgeous).

Also unknown and amazing is "Tengu Onmyouji-dou" by Kasai Ayumi ~
Yoshitsune/Ushiwaka, Yasunari (with his tengu mask) or Shizuka (as a fox-woman) would all be amazing.

Check out their other artwork too, since both are primarily illustrators... you may even be able to come up with a dramatic design of your own by looking at Kasai and Tsukiji.

Tsukiji's website - http://naotukiji.main.jp/ (her other work ~ http://naotukiji.main.jp/kaisetu.htm and http://naotukiji.main.jp/itiran/list.htm)
Kasai's - http://www2.odn.ne.jp/~ayumix/ (not much in the way of art)
Kasai's work on amazon - http://www.amazon.co.jp/s?ie=UTF8&rh...81 %BF&page=1
(the 2nd is the title I mentioned)

Awesome :3. There's so many great costumes from the series. Just got finished watching it actually xD. I'd really wanna cosplay Seth or Esther in her dress from the last eppy.

The Suikoden series has some really nice costumes if you look carefully enough.

I've cosplayed Bernadette and Gizel Godwin's Queen's Knight uniform. Both were pretty tough, the later especially. All the detailing had to be done by hand (including the owl belt buckle thing), and I got a lot of compliments on the final result, even by people who had no idea who I was. One person (who was participating in a "art corner hangout" type thing, said I was a "work of art" with all the costume details.

Other nice costumes from the series are Arshtat and Lymsleia.
